"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Following the armed attack on the Parral - Chihuahua highway in which the vocalist of the musical group H. Norteña Kevin Amalio Hernández, Marisela Barrón Sandoval, and her two children, 17 and 14 years old, were murdered.
It was reported that during the early hours of Monday morning, hooded subjects burst into the hospital where the survivors of the attack were being treated in an attempt to kill Mrs. Micaela, mother of Marisela Barrón Sandoval.
However, they didn’t locate her and left the place. Minutes later they shot at their house located in the community of Santa Rosa de Hidalgo del Parral. According to state authorities, Marisela Barrón Sandoval was the owner of the Centro Hípico Maturana (Maturana Equestrian Center), where nine months ago the abduction of criminal leader José Domingo Carrera aka El 010 took place, he was later was later found dead in Ciudad Juarez.
During an interview with journalist Azucena Uresti, the prosecutor of the southern zone of Chihuahua, Juan Carlos Portillo, announced that at least two members of the Sinaloa Cartel were behind the multi homicide.
He also announced that the main line of investigation in which the authorities are working is related to problems that may have arisen in the family business of the singer's wife. The prosecutor assured that members of the Sinaloa Cartel took the life of the singer of H. Norteña. Along with members of his family after having fired their weapons at least 150 times. This was the number of shell casings found at the crime scene.

That same place was known to be a drug dealing spot for Gente Nueva, which got Ezequiel killed by gente de los salguiero around 2015. His wife (the woman killed ) was said to be in a relationship with some higher up of gente nueva. As always no one will be captured, goverment of Parral protects gente nueva since 2008

It’s very well known Alegres Del Barranco(from San Jose Del Barranco, Badiraguato), have a very close relationship to the Guzman’s. They started of by actually receiving help by Chapo. They were Edgar’s favorite band, that’s been mentioned in other corridos from other groups.
