Michoacán has maintained a downward trend in terms of homicide, said the Secretary of Government, Elías Ibarra Torres.
According to a press release, this is in accordance with the most recent figures from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), which places the state in sixth place among the states in terms of the number of victims.
From 2,762 victims registered in 2021, 1,724 were registered in the year that just ended, that is, 1,38 cases less, which represents a decrease of 62.4 percent of this crime.
"This decrease in the number of homicides is directly related to the inter-institutional coordination between the state government and the federal and municipal authorities in matters of public security and justice," he said.

Their biggest moneymaker. CU continues to profit in the MILLIONS and maybe BILLIONS from taxing the farming industry. Not to mention DOPE profits. Plus the money they earn from leasing the port of Lazaro to Cds and Cjng. Either way they're sleeping on beds of money .

Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo should be their main ports. It's Governor power over everything. At least for the air. For the sea? It most likely is a military connection.

Those numbers didnt add up.
ReplyDelete2762 in 2021 - 1724 in 2023 = 1038 less and that represents 37.58%.
But i agree that 62.4% looks much better than 37.58 and that even 37.58% is an improvement for the locals. I just hope those numbers were close to the truth.
I don’t trust them entirely, but while we are talking numbers…
DeleteAmerican high schools generally range from 500-2,500 students per year.. leaving an average of about 1,500.
So imagine (at least) everyone you went to high school with all being killed off within a year… just to better give you an idea of how much life was truly taken.
