"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
In the first 72 hours of January 2024, 18 people have been murdered in Tijuana. All of the victims are male.
Three people were killed on January 1, 11 on Tuesday, and yesterday, Wednesday, 4.
According to information obtained by ZETA, among the latest events was an armed attack against two young men, one of whom, a minor, was killed instantly and the other was taken in serious condition to IMSS Clinic 1, where he later died.
It was reported that the crime stemmed from a fight last week, apparently because one of the parties involved, or their family, was attacked by a dog and didn’t take responsibility for the incident, although this version has not been confirmed.
The incident was documented on Wednesday 3 around 4:00 pm, on Domingo Arrieta Street in the Dorado Residencial neighborhood, where the victims were when two men in dark clothing, between 20 and 25 years of age, arrived and attacked them with gunfire, after the crime they fled.
The deceased were identified as Carlos David Aguayo Gaxiola, 17 years old, and Amed Jesús Torres Palomares, 26 years old. Both were originally from Tijuana.
Tijuana is the only municipality in the state where homicides have been registered in the first three days of the year.

I’ve posted in the past I’m a native of Tijuana and this was what I was afraid of El Flaquito response the people getting hit are cells of al quiles and some el Russo now like i posted before newspaper need to be well informed about what they post cause if they don’t publish the truth more people are going to die and native like myself gootta stay in San Diego again,It’s really naive to think CAF is done,I still remember when people thought flaquito left CAF for Chapitos I posted that that’s not true Flaquito was put in charged since El Ingeniero arrest with El chihuahua and went from there like I said I’m never been involved in organized crime but it’s hard to avoid or know player’s in the game cause alot of them we hung out in the same spots I don’t agree with what they do but drugs are a reality
ReplyDeleteEs verdad que es casi imposible sacar a un cartel local como lo es el CAF por el hecho de que están tan enraizados con gran parte de la policía local y politicos, como también es cierto que solo usurpan el apellido arellano para robar droga aclamando que es cobro de plaza (cuando les pagan plaza también los roban), secuestrando y surtiendo sus tienditas de crystal. Aun que no están blindados con la DEA si cooperan ya que trafican muy poco a USA, la mayoría crystal o droga robada a otros carteles.

5:43 lo que me sorprende de tijuana es que toda la gente suena los corridos en sus fiestas, caros etc, la narco cultura es muy normalizada en las casas de la mayoría dela gente aunque sean de dinero y trabajen limpio. Eso es otro problema porque nunca se acaba eso en la sociedad de Tijuana. Asta en otras fronteras donde hay narcos mucha gente es mas anti narco

Just searching for the world’s top ten back in 2016 shows Mexico only having one entry on the list.
It appears “insane” based on numbers of murders every year but a lot of parts of TJ are relatively calm and safe and even Americans who don’t speak English live down there and walk their dogs in the evening and don’t have issues and are not victims of crime but of course you could be in the wrong spot at the wrong time and be an innocent victim of sometime bad but I’ve seen crazy stuff in San Diego CA .
