Cancún, Quintana Roo: 11 CJNG Kidnappers Are Apprehended, Victims Rescued

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Police elements of the three orders of government arrested 11 people, 10 men and one woman, who had kidnapped three people inside a building located in the streets of Super Manzana 107, known as Paraíso Maya, in the municipality of Benito Juárez.

The State Attorney General's Office announced that, according to the investigations carried out, the detained said they belonged to the criminal group Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and that their illegal activities consisted of locating and abducting people related to drug dealing activities to “align them” and obtain information from other drug dealers.

The unit also reported that for approximately two months the activities of this criminal group related to homicides and abductions, whose presence was detected today when they entered the building with firearms, had been followed up.

Four long firearms, three short firearms, twelve magazines, among other objects, were seized at the scene. Of the people they had kidnapped, two had a missing person file.

The victims were transferred by the emergency services to be treated in a hospital, since they had various injuries, one of them even had a finger amputated. The FGE calls on the possible victims of these people to report the facts.

The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo added that the operation was the result of intelligence and field work carried out in collaboration with the institutions that make up the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo, made up of the Secretariat of the National Defense, the Secretary of the Navy, the National Guard, the National Intelligence Center, the Quintana Roo Police and the State Attorney General's Office.

  2. Perhaps due to my own experience involving long guns in face and thwarted kidnapping, these kidnapping groups scare the piss out of me (Yes, I wear Depends Undergarments when I read BB). The terror that these crews instill in the communities has got to be palatable. The terror and torture their unfortunate victims must be subjected to, the horror. Ok, I'm commenting the obvious now...

    1. I'm pretty sure Cancun and the state of Quintana belongs to any particular group. One of the reasons why flare ups have been occurring, handful of groups going after tourist drug dollars with no set line of demarcation on the beach. I'm 100%sure somebody will be explain further.

    1. Simon Gspot. Any pandilla o tecato caught up is labeled CJNG or CDS so ALMO and gobierno can say they hitting cartels hard.

Jalisco is the biggest threat so that's why you hear of them taking hits.

  6. How about one of you brainiacs estimate the value of the retail drug market in Cancun, PDC, Tulum. That is, selling drugs to the turistas in grams, eight-balls, carruffos, tachas, whatever.

Also, isn't it legal in Mexico to possess small amounts of various illegal drugs? is that for paisanos only or does it apply to tourists too?

Anyone who has had recent experience selling or buying in that region, please comment. Otherwise have a nice cup of STFU and go back to your wanking over pics of guns and shit
