Tenango del Valle, Edomex: Cell Leader Cristian Alejandro Of CJNG Apprehended

Investigative police officers in coordination with elements of the National Guard arrested a subject, identified as the leader of a criminal cell of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel that operates in the municipality of Tenango del Valle, who was wanted for his responsibility in the kidnapping of two men, one of whom to pressure the payment of his ransom, he tortured, cut off a finger and finally caused his death. 

After his capture, this subject, identified as Cristian Alejandro "N", was indicted in criminal proceedings for the crime of kidnapping, after the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) confirmed his probable participation in this crime committed in grievance of two people in this region of the entity.

After reviewing the evidence collected and provided by the Public Ministry of the Specialized Kidnapping Prosecutor's Office of the Valley of Toluca, the Judicial Authority based in Tenango del Valle determined to initiate legal proceedings against the detainee, established a precautionary measure of preventive imprisonment with a term of three months for the closing of complementary investigation.

The events occurred last December when this subject participated in the kidnapping of two men, whom he kept abducted in a building in the Mexicaltzingo municipality. 

During the time that both victims were abducted, they were beaten and wounded, one of them even had a phalanx of the right index finger mutilated.

On December 9, 2021, one of the victims left that address and asked for help from elements of Municipal Public Security, for which police elements moved to a building located in the San José neighborhood, in Mexicaltzingo, where they found the other victim. who was unconscious.

The two wounded men were taken to hospitals in the Toluca Valley to receive medical attention. However, one of them unfortunately died.

Once the FGJEM became aware of the facts, the respective investigation folder was opened and various procedures were carried out, including a search of the building where the victims remained in captivity.

Blood stains, clothing, various pieces of furniture, four rounds, as well as a notebook with various notes on drug sales were found at the scene.

With the data collected and the progress in the investigation, it was possible to identify Cristian Alejandro "N", alias "Zorro", as a probable participant in these events, who apparently is the leader of a cell of a criminal organization that operates in Jalisco.

The Agent of the Public Ministry asked a Judge to issue an arrest warrant against this individual, a court order that was granted.

For the capture of this subject, the FGJEM requested the collaboration of National Guard personnel who support the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (CONASE), who apprehended him.

Said subject was transferred to the Mexican entity where he was admitted to the Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center of Tenango del Valle, where he was placed at the disposal of a Judge, an authority that indicted him for criminal proceedings. 

The FGJEM reported that the detainee should be considered innocent until a conviction is handed down against him.

The Prosecutor's Office said that the investigative police are continuing with their investigations in order to identify other people who may have participated in these events.
