The member of the collective "Michoacán Families In Your Search", Patricia López Rodríguez pointed out that according to institutional figures, in Michoacán there have been more than 1700 disappeared people between 2020 and 2021, although the figure could be more.

There are more than 1700 disappeared people in Michoacán between 2020 and 2021 alone, said the member of the collective "Familiares en tu búsqueda Michoacán", Patricia López Rodríguez.

The activist pointed out that despite the fact that this data is official, according to the records of various groups, the number of disappeared people in Michoacán, could be much more, however, she detailed that many family members do not report for various factors.

She also commented that the numbers have been increasing in recent months, this because governments stop attending to this type of situation, because they focus on the new change of government, so the authorities were asked not to leave aside the attention to the relatives who have someone missing.

She commented that of the more than 1700 missing persons, so far, only a total of 750 have been found, about 1000 people are still needed by their families.

She also commented that there are municipalities in Michoacán, which have a lot of incidences on the issue of disappearances, pointing out that among them are municipalities like Zamora, among others.

López Rodríguez pointed out that the growing number of incidents cannot be attributed to organized crime, adding that there are more possibilities that could rupture this problem.

In conclusion, he indicated that it is essential that the state government allocate more resources to support caravans of missing persons, which significantly help the resolution of cases.

  2. She did say that none of the incidents are attributed to organize crime it's either kidnapping land stealing or mental illness Alzheimer's is a real deadly disease and most of the people who've been missing for months and maybe years it's cause they lost connection to the real world trust me I know the area very well even tho I'm from Juarez Chihuahua.
