According to the information obtained, since July 26, 2021, the detained allegedly presented themselves with several owners of automotive scrap yards, claiming that they were members of a criminal group.

Subsequently, these people presumably left messages with a telephone number requesting cash from the victims and telling them to contact them within a period of no more than 10 hours or they would make an attempt against their lives.

However, the alleged perpetrators fired weapons at several businesses to frighten the aggrieved and thus obtain the requested money.

These events were known to the Prosecutor's Office, which through its investigative elements undertook the investigations, and with intelligence strategies, managed to collect various evidence and data.

In this way, it was possible to determine three perpetrators responsible identified as Laura Susana "N", 37 years old, José Saúl "N" 25 years old and José María "N" of 24 years old.

It was the agent of the Public Ministry who carried out the essential work so that the judicial authority gave the arrest warrant against the aforementioned.

In the streets of the Potosí capital these individuals were apprehended and their rights were read that protect them as being detained.  They were transferred to the La Pila penitentiary center, a holding facility that will keep them under protection until they face their corresponding criminal process.
