Subject Matter: Execution of Municipal Police Commander, Jalisco

The operations sub-director of the Municipal Police of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Francisco Javier Alejo Rodriguez, and his two escorts were executed on the afternoon of Wednesday the 24th of February, after a group of armed men opened fire on the patrol car in which they were travelling.
The primary reports indicate that the attack was perpetrated when the Police Chief and his two colleagues travelled in patrol car 1703 were ambushed on Revolution Avenue, one of the most travelled routes in the metropolitan zone of Guadalajara.

The other two agents assassinated were identified as Daniel Rio Chavez and Jesus Hernandez Centeno. Later on social networks a video was put up of the moment of the assassinations, where one can observe a person with a rifle shooting multiple shots.
Another person seen close to the armed subject in a black car, gets out and climbs into a white van. The armed individual then also jumps into the white van and they flee together.
After the killers fled, the person who shot the video goes up to the scene of the crime and videoed the vehicle with the uniformed corpses inside.
Elements of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Science arrived at the scene to carry out their investigations and remove the corpses. In all, bodies of security deployed in a strong operation to guard the zone. At the time, the Attorney General of the State of Jalisco started an operation by land and air to search for those responsible, according to information given out on his twitter account.
The Mayoress of Tlaquepaque, Maria Elena Limon Garcio, lamented the events and said that the investigation was being led by the Attorney General of the State. She said also that they will be giving support to the families of the dead agents.
