To finish Omar, we put emphasis the last two weeks on the murder case. They killed him in the Cuernavaca area in Temixco. Iván Morales, a National Guardsman who fought criminal groups, was seriously wounded, actually losing his face, and they killed him. What about the investigation into his case? And we said here, why aren't those police officers honored? No, we're not talking about a tribute. Why aren't there blanks? That minute, at least, of silence for people like you who have confronted criminal groups and who one day are killed and seem to disappear from the history of this country.

Omar, the case of Iván Morales, a case that you know very well.

Yes, Iván was, as we know, wounded in 2015 when a helicopter crashed and soldiers and a colleague, also from the federal police, lost their lives.

They paid him several tributes, he was decorated, and he retired, and in an extremely cowardly attack. Because we have to understand what criminal organization attacks an unarmed person with his unarmed wife, and they both are killed. One is a priority investigation for us. Of course, it will not go unpunished. In the case of tributes and honors, rest assured, they are honored, honored, more so. We talk more about honor, yes, honor them more. Rather than honoring them, not honoring them in some way, that gesture that the soldiers appreciate so much, that good police officers appreciate so much. Of course, many things are done in private for a reason. We always, always, respect the family's decision. We will, of course, be in permanent contact with institutional and, of course, personal support for everything that is required.

There are things that we do not make public, for obvious reasons, but Iván's case will not go unpunished. Of course, he was an extremely brave young man who served his country for many years and in delicate situations and missions.

Amen.

  1. Big Thanks for his service. This Gratitude goes out to all law enforcement officers and agencies who truly are heroes.
Surprised he wasn’t offered witness protection from the US government for his testimony against Little Menso.
