Possible Businessman Deprived Of His Freedom; The Incident Was Recorded In A Video Posted On Social Networks In Guadalajara, Jalisco.

This article was translated and reposted from EL OCCIDENTAL

A video recorded how a commando arrived and intercepted the subject.

Elizabeth Ibal / El Occidental

In broad daylight and 400 meters from the official residence of Governor Enrique Alfaro, a man presumed to be a businessman, who was leaving a restaurant in the Prados Providencia neighborhood, was deprived of his freedom.

In a video broadcast on social networks, a commando arrived and intercepted the man identified as Raúl "R", 36 years old.

He was leaving the establishment located at Rubén Dario and Ricardo Palma, accompanied by his family, and was even carrying a black stroller.

Apparently, the man was about to pay for valet parking when at least three pickup trucks arrived and surrounded the place.

A man carrying a long gun came along the sidewalk on Ricardo Palma Street and tapped him on the shoulder from behind, then pulled him backwards.

He and four other men threatened him with their long guns and forced him to the ground. The bag on his shoulder was the first thing they took from him and then they searched his belongings.

While this was happening, the diners and workers ran inside the restaurant to take shelter.

One of the gunmen, upon seeing them, approached the door and pointed inside, then another of the gunmen who was threatening Raul, went and kept company with the one who was already threatening the customers, so that no one would intervene.

Finally, the man was forced to get into one of the vans. Before leaving, the gunmen picked up an object that could be the victim's wallet.

This fact was reported this Saturday to state police, who acted as first responders.

In spite of the fact that the deprivation of liberty took place three blocks away from Casa Jalisco, the house of the State Executive, it was not possible to locate the man. The State Prosecutor's Office has not made any statement either.

    2. 1126 Have you seen the news footage of the smash and grabs and follow home robberies in Beverly Hills? I believe an innocent bystander was shot in one of the many incidents. This is nothing new and it's not just limited to Guadalajara. It could happen anywhere.

    3. 11:26 I tend to occasionally remember that often repeated phrase among Mexicans of 'cuando te toca te toca'. Which essentially means that when it's your turn there isn't really much you can do to avoid it.

    4. 11:26 Guadalajara and Mexico City are about the same on the safety factor. You should exercise some caution in both citys. They are both very beautiful and super fun to visit. It is a little scary knowning Guadalajara is home of CJNG tho

    5. 11:34 that's old news a few years ago.
There's a task force dedicated to that and more surveillance cameras are put in Beverly Hills.

    10. I would assume the risk of getting hit in a car accident while on a highway to work is the same as getting robbed in gdl. Have always enjoyed my trips across the city, even the scary parts with masked guys in the bus and i am not talking about the covid masks, had a happy ending. Just show some respect to the locals, be friendly, polite, give tips and try not be too much of gringo and you will be fine.

  2. CJNG is introducing foreigners from South America into their ranks and these Colombians and Venezuelans are making these types of crimes more common... with that being said, what happened to the Video where CJNG said they were there to purge the state of kidnappers, rapist, theives and extortionist.

    4. It's pretty well established that CJNG has recruited South Americans into Mexico to take part in the dirty work. It's also well established that CJNG has expanded their operations into huaxicol, extortion, fraud and yes, even kidnapping for ransom, so it shouldn't be of any surprise if some of the actors committing these crimes are from the countries mentioned.

    2. This was definitely CJNG. The reason that this was a professional looking kidnap is because all of the Colombians and Venezuelan guys that CJNG is recruiting had some kind of military or guerrilla Farc training. And guess what government went down to Colombia to train their military? Yup you guessed right. The United States special forces. Basically these CJNG criminals are using American training to terrorize innocent civilians in Mexico. The reason that these criminals are not afraid to do this in the day and close to Casa Jalisco is because everyone is paid off by the cartel including local cops, state police and even Governor Enrique Alfaro. Nuff Said!!!

    7. Zacatecas is getting filled with dead Colombia CJNG sicarios

      Delete
    8. J:
I don't see where this appears to be professional. The sicarios picked up items apparently dropped by the victim. Only the two running up the sidewalk appeared to have specific tasks. The others appeared to be more confused as to what their specific roles were.
Professionals would have focused only on the victim and ignored the items either he or they dropped. This only went smoothly because they had at least one guy tailing him and possibly the valet helping them, at least 6 men on the kidnapping team, he didn't resist and everyone scattered as soon as they were confronted by armed men.
This guy could have taken everything off script by either attacking the guy who separated him from the group or by simply running back into the restaurant which would challenge the sicarios abilities to function as a team. However, he had a young child in his group and decided to surrender to the circumstances rather than endanger the child, his family and other innocent civilians. The sicarios weren't functioning as a unit. There was no communication or coordination of the group. Everyone just jumped out of their truck and fell into place. Had he ran back into the restaurant and tried to escape out the back door each member of the group would then be acting on their own. He could also have decided that this is the end so the best he could do is try to at least take one of these losers with him.

      Delete
    9. well, professional being a relative term. Planned, organized, to a degree, executed without issue.

The picking up items...why wouldn't they pick up the guys phone or whoever's phone? Took less then a second.

I can't compare it off hand to like a DELTA force or whatever, but to other videos of kidnappings in TJ or other places, it went according to plan.

      Delete
    10. J:
I agree with you that this went more smoothly than most videos you see here. I learned to function as part of a team in the army which teaches you to stay focused on your mission. It's apparent that at least four of these guys weren't functioning as a unit. It appears that they were most likely told, hey pick this guy up so they jumped in the pickup truck for the mission. The one guy who separated the victim from the group looked like he had a specific task. He probably was the leader of the group. If most of them were trained in a military or police force they would have shown more focus and coordination. If I remember correctly, SOL was in airborn or something like that. He could give you his impression of the video.

    11. The overall job does look sloppy. A trained team would’ve appeared simultaneously instead of one after the other. But they did come in with the element of surprise. That in itself stunned the civilians long enough for the shooters to do their job. I would’ve expected for everyone to have been spaced out a bit from each other. If that businessman had a trained bodyguard their closeness could’ve been used against them. It didn’t look like they were expecting resistance though. No one gunman is watching their 6 (rear). Everyone appears to be stuck in tunnel vision mode also instead of swiveling their heads side to side ensuring that a potential threat isn’t closing in on them. And no one bothered to throw a flash bang at the beginning to really confuse the fuck out of everyone. It’s better to have caused that chaos versus having all those gawkers watching you.

  4. Dude with white polo shirt over shorts taking a picture looks suspicious due to the amount it could take for him to have sent a picture to the hit men verifying the target’s presence.

Maybe it’s nothing but definitely a great move for verification purposes.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Great find my friend. In these type of operations CJNG will send in a regular looking person to shadow the target and moniter his every move. They need to make sure the target is not armed or has a body guard. It is easier to grab the target outside next to the curb than inside a busy restaurant. It looks like this guy sent the hit team verification of targets location and his current cloths that he was wearing. Lesson to learn here if you go on vacation to Mexico. Look out for guys in polo shirts and shorts taking pictures of you. Nuff Said!!!

Not to mention there are multiple times throughout the video where their guns are pointing at the backs of one of their fellow cartel member.

    1. @12:55 - I also want to add to your comment that it looks like at one point the cartel guy closest to the security camera holds his gun by the magazine, which is just not the proper way to hold your gun. He does it right before he turns around and runs back to their vehicle.

It was a good observation on your part as to how he was holding his rifle. I agree with 12:55. The army teaches you to keep your finger off the trigger until you are in a hostile situation and not to point a weapon at a friendly.
