More graphic videos were published online of the execution of Mr. Cortés Burgos and will be shared below. More and more hard-working law enforcement officers are being killed in Mexico which reminds us all of silver or lead.

  1. I'm not aware of anything to suggest that this guy was on the take. He appears to be an honest officer that chose the plomo over the plata.

    1. Not sure if its the same guy but lately i ve seen a pic where alfaro was on a funeral of a killed police officer. If its the same guy he took the plata and now received the plomo.

    2. 4:44 Enrique Alfaro, the current governor of Jalisco? Opposite areas of México.

He has the initials P.E.P. on his shirt. This usually stands for Policia Estatal Preventiva. Is there any indications that he actually worked as a preventivo?

Can you identify the patch on his cap? It appears to be a state patch.

  4. This is crazy... Wtf was the taxi in on it?? You can only assume so right, I doubt the sicarios got that lucky.. I imagine they had to be, just look how close to the shoulder of the road they were, before hitting him..

Wouldn't be surprised if all the white cars were in on it..

    1. i didn't watch the video, but it's normal for taxi drivers to be involved with the cartel as halcones or drug dealers.. they are threatened and pressured to join them.

    2. @945 -- This is true.. and in this case it would have all been highly organized

      Delete
    3. It appears that only one car was involved and the taxi was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    4. @Detroit — how do you know this? I don’t care what they report, there’s no way that was a coincidence… lol

I mean, why wasn’t the taxi driver hit too then?

      Delete
    5. It appears that the taxi struck the motorcyclist and the front driver's side of the taxi was shot up and the taxi remained on the scene. From these facts you can draw a reasonable inference that the taxi driver was uninvolved.

    6. The taxi tried to stop, the was the motorcylist who was at fault

  5. Was the person who hit him with the car involved? Or did that just happened accidentally and the hitmen took advantage??

  7. If the guy knew they where after him and he received death threats he should've worn his bullet proof vest. Nuff Said!!!

    4. I agree w/ 9:27am! Vest or
no vest, wouldn’t have made any difference!

    5. Forget the vest… how about not riding around on motorcycle… alone..

  8. Shit is crazy! Yea id say most of the white cars were possibly involved too they seemed to pass by at the right time and as one was passing by looks like other was passing threw the intersection below them

  10. You think the taxi driver was in on it?
    Uuhhh… what do you think?
Do you think someone just happened to be filming down that street right before and during the hit?
Do you think the cop may have been corrupt?
    No way, not in Mexico!😆
You guys just witnessed a professional hit filmed and performed by professionals for us to witness and for some us, like myself, to enjoy.

    Was it coordinated
Was this person in on it

  17. Motorcycle was being chased by SUV. Shots are ringing out. People start recording. Motorcycle blows through intersection because he’s getting shot at. Taxi, who has right of way, is minding his business when scared motorcyclist collides into him. Common sense people.

  18. You guys watch to much movies. The taxi driver seems to be just driving, The victim was being chased and ran into the path of the taxi he was probably paying attention to the suspects on his ass. If the taxi was in on it he would of also shot him. I get taxi driver useally work as eyes on the ground halcones but I doubt this guy was part of the hit.

    1. Yea sure dude….the taxi SEEMED to be driving there right at that perfect time
And the person filming just SEEMED to be filming that road before and during the hit…

You need to join a criminology school so you can get your diploma, and work for the Republic of Mexico forensic lab.
The pay is not really good. Sometimes you have to dodge some bullets. Calling 911 in Mexico is at your own risk.

  19. I agree with El Guero. They chased him, a motorcyclist ran q stop sign at the intersection, a white car collided with the motorcyclist, and the gunmen were like “hey, here’s a perfect opportunity.” Pew pew….. pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew. Vest? Yeah, he’s not wearing a full bodied vest, that’s a lot of pew pews on his body.

  20. Mexico is normalizing this barbaric beheadings, cutting limbs and arms. Just like MAGAs normalizing trumps lies. Just like the world normalizing Putins poisoning his opponents. What the hell is going on in this world. Humanities are so fcking doomed!!!!

  22. The majority of police in Mexico are honest and decent people. We get too many trolls in here that try to make it look like they are all in the game. Borderlandbeat has to do a better job of weeding out the trolls.

    2. @Detroit. When the story first appeared you called him a hero simply because he was a State Employee, which deserved a response. I said it was as dumb as assuming he was in the game, and just as misleading. Young underpaid Mexican police might be decent and honest but still be forced to take money to protect themselves. You say the vast majority are honest, but if you mean they don't take any money beyond the pittance they are paid then how do you think they survive? Not everyone who disagrees with you is a troll.

    3. To be clear: We are not trying to "weed out" comments about the degree of corruption present in Mexican law enforcement. People have different opinions on this issue.

If the opinion is expressed in good faith, it'll get approved.
