EL PANU OR EL LOBO
Oscar Noe Medina Gonzalez aka "El Panu", or "El Lobo" has managed to stay out of the spotlight for years. El Panu has always been described as a high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel, leading operations on behalf of the Chapo Guzman organization in Sonora, and a compadre of Ivan Archivaldo who is the leader of the Los Menores or Los Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel.
On April 13, 2023, El Panu, or El Lobo, was officially sanctioned by the United States Department of State. El Panu was described as, "the principal deputy for Ivan Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, a high-level leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, and the day-to-day commander of Guzman Salazar’s and his brothers’ – the Chapitos’ – security apparatus. Medina Gonzalez oversees each of the Chapitos’ regional commanders, who are responsible for security in their designated areas of Mexico".
