Mr. 500 And El Pingua Are Arrested

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Video translation is as follows:

Meanwhile, Juan Alberto aka Mr. 500 was arrested in Guasave, Sinaloa by members of the military and the Attorney General's Office. He was in charge of trafficking and distributing synthetic drugs. Particularly fentanyl and methamphetamine to the United States, Europe, and Australia. As well as arms trafficking from the US to Mexico. Mr. 500 was the head of a criminal cell belonging to the Pacific Cartel.

This is the moment when Juan Alberto aka Mr. 500 was arrested in the town of Ahome near Guasave, Sinaloa. He was identified as the leader of a Sinaloa Cartel cell who reportedly shipped more than a ton of fentanyl and methamphetamines annually to the United States, Europe, and Australia. Juan Alberto was wanted in the United States by Homeland Security Investigators.

While in Mexico he is considered a priority target for trafficking high-powered weapons from the American Union to our territory. The operation to arrest him occurred on March 2 and was carried out by elements of the Sedena and National Guard. As well as the attorney general's office of the republic. Together with two of his accomplices, they were captured and are currently in the facilities of FEMDO (Specialized Prosecutor's Office in matters of Organized Crime) in Mexico City.

Another relevant arrest occurred this March 4. Juan Enrique aka Pingua, Scorpion 18, 30 years old, was captured in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. In the operation they also arrested 5 of his bodyguards and people he trusted. Pingua had been in charge of Los Ciclones, a cell of the Gulf Cartel after the arrest of José Alberto García aka La Kena.

Among the criminal activities of El Pingua was the trafficking of drugs, immigrants, fuel, as well as weapons and tactical equipment. He was also responsible for various murders against members of rival groups in the municipalities of Rio Bravo, Valle Hermoso, and San Fernando. This situation caused an increase in the rates of violence against various authorities, both federal and state.

These two arrests of Mr. 500 and this other character, La Pingua, one of the leaders of the Gulf Cartel and the other, one of the main operators of the Sinaloa Cartel. Are two important blows by two different criminal organizations that also have a common relationship, which is drug trafficking, synthetic drugs, to the American Union.

In the case of the Gulf Cartel, human trafficking is also involved. The interesting thing, for example, about the Sinaloa arrest is that this man was in charge of not only bringing fentanyl from Mexico to the United States. Also, their main markets or two of their main markets were in the European Union and Australia. Which means that those drugs that are doing so much damage in the United States are increasingly also in Mexico. It's coming. We had many reports that it was arriving in Spain and other countries like this. And its already arriving in Australia. These were two important arrests that occurred today.

Jorge, what you’re saying right now is a tragedy. Fentanyl is already crossing borders not only in the United States. Not just this, it’s also arriving in Australia. And why? Because this is a drug that if you get even a little bit, people will simply die. In addition, they’re also mixing it with other drugs and people aren’t even aware that they are using fentanyl.

    2. 12:57 - CJNG is paying the military? You mean the same military that just arrested 20 CJNG members in Zacatecas ? They arrested 12 CJNG members on March 1st in Las Huertas, Zacatecas, after raiding a cartel safe house. Then the next day they raided another cartel safe house this time in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, and arrested 8 more CJNG members ( three of them were from Colombia ). They also rescued a man who was being held captive by these 8 cartel members.

    3. 12:57 - I’m not too sure about CJNG having the government on their side. 17 CJNG members were just arrested by the National Guard a few weeks ago in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, and a total of 20 CJNG members were just captured in Zacatecas by the military like one week ago. There was also a CJNG financial operator that was captured by the military in Querétaro during like the first week of February. I think he’s also wanted by the U.S. so it’s possible he’s going to get extradited.

    7. 2:40 - No, I agree. I’m glad the military is targeting CJNG. I was just pointing it out to the person who claimed that the military was being paid by CJNG. I don’t think the military would be arresting CJNG members if they were actually on CJNG’s payroll.

    8. 2:51 how Chiapas is going is the exact same way Zacatecas started. Wouldn't be surprised if my late this year or early next year we see posts of how CJNG is losing in Chiapas

    1. No this guy is the boss of Los Panchos. They have controlled Guasave for like 10 years. They were part of BLO then they split off. They control a pretty large portion of Sinaloa independently and part of Durango.

    2. Thanks for the clarification. So basically another independent went down ?
