San Lorenzo, Sinaloa: Male Shot To Death, Female Is Immolated

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Mayra Michelle died Sunday night shortly after being rushed to the hospital. She was found on the side of the Mexico 15 highway with severe burn injuries. She had been set on fire with a tire placed on her body.

She was missing along with young Ernesto Alonso N, 27 years of age, who had been reported missing since last Thursday when they left a seafood restaurant.

The discovery of both young people occurred around 04:00 hours this Sunday on the edge of the Mexico 15 highway, at the entrance of the San Lorenzo community, south of the capital Culiacan.

The male victim was found shot to death inside some tires, while the female victim was wrapped in flames with a tire on top of her body.

Hours after they were discovered, a video circulated on social networks where you can see the conditions in which they had been found.

Following the report of the death of the young woman in the hospital, personnel from the State Attorney General's Office went to the hospital to open an investigation into the double homicide.

Mayra Michelle had been abducted together with Ernesto Alonso, last Thursday from San Lorenzo.

  1. Burn the girl alive. What cruelty, a monstrous act. Such a heinous dead can only be done by someone who is a pathological monster without any feeling for a human being. God is great. For what he did, if someone blew his brains out with a barett, it would be like Jackpot. Whatever she did, the girl did not deserve such a death. Whoever kills, death comes for him to take him in his arms at some point in life. Fuck Cartels and Cruelty.

    5. 5:30, are you FKN retarded? Rhetorical, don't bother. NO ONE! has a higher murder rate than Mex; you'd have to wander back to right before the commencement of WW2 and the Natzi concentration camps. It's not longer a matter of statistical rates in that country, it's genocide at this point, PERIOD!...

    6. 10:30 They are commenting at which Country has the CURRENT homicides, and someone said Mexico. We are not concentrating of the past of other Countries, CURRENTLY is the magic word. I took believe Mexico tops the World in homicides.

My stats are the consensus and current up to 2022. Those are the facts.

    8. Sorry, you haven't any stats 2:09. That's due to the incompetence and willful negligence of the Mexican government. The murder rate is so atrociously high, that they don't want exact figures, seeing as the international community is currently weighing allegations that would paint Mexico for a failed State; and it's inability to furnish proper security and due process for it's citizens, which is a major criteria in the processes for such a designation. So yes, There is no other country at the moment experiencing what the Mexican populous is experiencing, and that is mass extermination at the hands of criminals and their impunity.

  5. Who owns San Lorenzo plaza? Mayo or Chapitos faction? They really had it bad for the woman. They wanted her to suffer. She must have been the real target in this abduction. I think the male got picked up just for being with her. Since he saw their faces and most likely the vehicle he had to be eliminated too. This reminds me of a previous BB article where a cartel boss in Michoacan burned his girlfriend alive for cheating on him. I wonder if this chick did the same.

    1. Of course she looks different… she was burnt alive! Body characteristics actually match, except for hands and other parts which burn faster. What a horrible way to surfer and not die fast enough to no feel it. Wow.

    2. Definitely looks like she fucked around and found out the hard way. Dude went off easier… but likely tortured before his death. She looks like the target since she was left to suffer, horrible way to die. Imagine the pain, the smell, and then the ruthless mofo who’s just wanting to have a normal conversation under such circumstances.
