Elements of the Mexican Army managed to secure a methamphetamine drug laboratory in the town of Pueblo Nuevo, belonging to the Costa Rica syndicate, Culiacan, with the capacity to generate up to 400 kilograms of methamphetamine per day.

The Commander of the Ninth Military Zone, Porfirio Fuentes Velez, explained that, according to the evidence collected in the laboratory, about 25 people were working there, who rotated shifts to produce drugs 24 hours a day.

"Because of the characteristics, we are talking about 400, or more than 400 kilos, and they work, normally they work three shifts, they work three shifts 24 hours a day, their work is permanent, their work is permanent," he commented.

Porfirio Fuentes Velez pointed out that each kilogram of methamphetamine has an approximate cost of between 10 and 13 thousand pesos, therefore, if they were able to produce 400 kilos per day, they would be generating profits close to 5 million pesos.

The seizure

Elements of the Mexican Army entered the secured narco-laboratory wearing specialized suits for handling chemicals; they later confirmed that the site contained illicit substances placed in drums, as well as 3 reactors for processing the chemicals and motorcycles that were used as means of transportation.

The elements explained that the first stage of methamphetamine manufacture was carried out at the site, in which the chemicals are mixed and introduced into the reactors to obtain a liquid substance that is then processed in places with electrical currents and refrigeration to obtain the final product.

The Commander of the Ninth Military Zone said that so far this year 21 laboratories have been seized throughout the country, 15 of them in the state of Sinaloa.

  10. 400 kilos per day equals 73 tons per year. I doubt it. I wonder where they get these numbers from.

    1. Stop being a closeted hater. Those numbers are totally possible. What you need to do is stop believing everything law enforcement tells you. They're the ones with more incentive to lie to you and generate false propaganda.

    1. No need for the video, Costa Rica has always been a stronghold of mayo associates. All though El Fantasma , chapos lieutenant, was caught there. I remember mayo gave direct orders to Fantasma to leave from his territory’s because the government was on fantasmas ass and he was bringing heat to mayos people and the civilians in these towns couldn’t live peacefully.

Same happened with Mexican Marinas🤔. They would do a quota of 5 drug busts a year to please USA, they would make them and no one would get arrested.

  21. According to this article published today, Mexico has taken China's place as the number one exporter to the US market, with an estimated total of US$475.6 billion worth of goods in 2023.

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/07/economy/china-mexico-us-trade/index.html

That number doesn't include the drugs though.

If you count the ditch weed, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl, then the total annual value of Mexico's exports to US is aprx. US$2,997,403,881,545,017.

As Charles Bowden said "The war on drugs is over. The drugs won."
