The book "El Amo de Jalisco; un gobierno con estructura criminal" will be presented in Guadalajara on December 2 and in Puerto Vallarta on December 8.

Guadalajara, Jalisco.

From the office of the governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, orders are given to twist justice, favor private interests, commit acts of corruption, punish political adversaries and do business.

Accused the writer and journalist, Ricardo Ravelo, who expresses this assertion in the book "El Amo de Jalisco; un gobierno con estructura criminal" (The Master of Jalisco; a government with a criminal structure). He said that in reality throughout the country there are leaders like Enrique Alfaro.

"This diagnosis speaks of corruption, personal business, how justice is twisted from the governor's office to favor the interests of friends and to imprison enemies.

THE WHOLE ISSUE OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN THE STATE AND BUSINESS UNDER THE PROTECTION OF POWER IN SUCH A WAY THAT, WELL, IT IS A BOOK THAT PORTRAYS NOT ONLY WHAT JALISCO IS, BUT A GOOD PART OF THE COUNTRY.

But in this case it is focused on Alfaro, "The Master of Jalisco" is the name of the book, but at the same time it is an x-ray, I insist that it portrays the country because many governors like Alfaro have incurred in these mistakes, blunders, links with organized crime".

Ricardo Ravelo, who says that years ago he received threats from the governor for publishing topics that he did not like, said that this book tells many stories that demonstrate the complicity between Alfaro and organized crime.

"There is a passage when Alfaro was mayor in that municipality of a flight to Havana, to Cuba because he was going to invite Silvio Rodriguez to give a concert in Jalisco.

There was a passenger that was erased from the flight log, that passenger was an organized crime figure that is detailed very well in the book,

Alfaro was in charge of omitting from the list of passengers that were going to make the trip to Cuba when he was municipal president, there are many stories, many stories that I think that regardless of the fact that they put the governor under the spotlight.

People will have a very detailed reference of "who governs Jalisco".

  3. Ricardo Ravelo, older journalist that knows some cartel history and has written stories for PROCESO. Should be a serious book considering who it's about.

    1. It could easily be done. Plus my emails open whenever the authors ready.

    2. They should publish an english version, or an ebook, cant be that difficult those days. This would give him a much broader audience and would increase pressure on pinche alfaro and his goons.

  8. I got a digital copy of the book and did a translation, currently working on reviewing it.
Not sure if i should put it online, he put a lot of work in it and i thing he needs the money thats made from the book. But an spanish only version is stupid. Mexicans love books but this book needs a much broader audience.
Maybe he is able to publish an english version or an audio book. Its pretty easy these days with all the tech gadgets doing the hard work. There are so many fact and names in the book. Its fair to say that all politicians are equal if not worse than el narco.
Don Sol. What should i do? Put it online and let the people know or keep it for myself and avoid copyright violations?
