"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Cartel shootout leaves one ringleader dead and two seriously wounded

An armed confrontation between drug traffickers took place at noon this Tuesday on a dirt road in the community of San Francisco del Oro.

The initial balance so far is one dead and two seriously wounded.

The shots were fired in the breach of the "La Cordereña" mine to the terror of the inhabitants of the area.

The dirt road connects San Francisco del Oro with the Santa Barbara mountain range, a stretch used by organized crime.

The two wounded in the confrontation were taken to a local hospital and their condition is extremely serious, at this time the progress of their health is unknown.

Police reports state that the group "La Línea" made incursions into this region, a situation that was detected by the Sinaloa Cartel elements and led to the confrontation.

  6. I thought CDS and La Linea were aligned working together?
Or was it CDS and Salazar that are aligned?
This blends in when one of the groups ambushed vans with LaBron family members, that they killed.

    1. Gente Nueva is a fighting group of CDS, Salazares being one of the main original ones.

    2. -Linea have loyal members in Chihuahua.
-CDS have "contracts" with different groups (ex. Los Salazar, Los Pelones, El Chueco), that eventually change sides.

  7. La Línea is the only Cartel to steadily tear into some CDS ass .. only times they’ve ever taken losses against CDS has been with support of military and federal police .. you never ever ever hear of them getting slaughtered like CDS does to Jaliskas and the others.. maybe michoacanos need to come to Chihuahua and actually get proper firearms and tactical training

    1. La línea works with CDS they only fight over routes through the desert into the United States other than that they buy all the drugs from cds and receive orders from gente nueva

    2. That makes no sense how are you going to be at war with your coworker

    3. Mostly because they dont spend resources expanding to new territories, and keep investing in their own estate (Most of chihuahua) and they care about their old routes that had been flowing for decades.
      Similar to Union Tepito.

    1. Thats correct, they have strong interests in mining (gold/silver), Cattle, forestal bussinesses, mota y amapola in territories near to Sonora, Sinaloa and Durango.

They probably have a "relative truce" with el Mayo, war is bad for the business.

Mayitos are now the common enemy.
