Mexican federal forces, in collaboration with state authorities, conducted searches on 15 properties allegedly linked to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL) in Guanajuato. During these operations, 24 individuals were arrested, and significant quantities of drugs, firearms, and vehicles were seized.

The identified buildings were suspected to be the key locations where the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel coordinated its drug dealing activities. With the backing of federal forces, Mexico's Attorney General's office (FGR) and the Guanajuato State Attorney General's Office secured the required court orders to enter these properties and conduct their search operations.

Authorities discovered 4,300 doses of methamphetamine, 110 doses of marijuana, 41 bags of methamphetamine, 16 firearms, seven vehicles, three motorcycles, and various tactical equipment in these locations.

The CSRL is the criminal organization based in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Lima in Guanajuato whose origins date back to at least 2017. Initially, it focused on stealing fuel from the Pemex pipelines passing through the region.

However, it quickly diversified its activities, which included extortion, kidnapping, and drug trafficking. Competition for these illegal markets led to a turf war with the rival Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The CSRL's top leader was José Antonio Yépez Ortiz ("El Marro", The Sledgehammer). He was arrested on August 2020 in Apaseo del Alto municipality.

    2. First thing that occurred to me,hitting CSRL every way,why is the same not happening to CJNG ? I think we all know the answer to that ?

    3. 3:29 - Maybe it has something to do with the fact that since the beginning of this year CSRL has just been killing police officers on their day off. Since the start of this year, I think they’ve killed like 11 police officers on their day off.

    4. 11:28 - Bro, I swear the people on this website have dementia. Did we all forgot that under AMLO’s presidency, El Mencho’s brother has been arrested and many of El Mencho’s family members have also been arrested like his wife. And not only that, but the military also hunted down and killed El M2 and literally drove CJNG out of the town of Aguililla, Michoacán, last year in February. “El Minimix”, one of CJNG’s plaza bosses who was in charged of three municipalities was also captured not too long ago. I think he was captured last month. So, I don’t understand why people are acting like the government isn’t targeting CJNG either.

    5. CJNG controled Aguilila, literally 2 months ago 10-15 members of the CJNG were arrested there, there is no more CU.

Minimix's arrest doesn't mean anything, it's just a regular plaza boss of which there are hundreds.

The AMLO government cooperates with the cartels to finance and support their candidates, this is very well known.

Every now and then you have to turn in big shots to show work lol it's as old as time, look how many high ranking members of CDS were arrested during Calderón and Nieta rule to "show work" but that doesn't change anything, CDS was only flourishing at that time.

    6. ELMO does not have CJNG labs raided, but sure has a big fix to go after Sinaloa drug labs, just to make uncle Sam happy.

    7. 7:59 - Probably because Uncle Sam has a weird obsession with capturing Los Chapitos, which I personally don’t understand. If you ask me, CJNG is a way bigger threat to national security than CDS. CJNG to me seems way more military like and way more violent. U.S. law enforcement like the DEA constantly talk about Los Chapitos, but rarely ever talk about El Mencho, even though they have said on several occasions that CDS and CJNG are currently America’s biggest threat to national security.

    1. I like how you mentioned the drugs, but didn’t mention the 24 people arrested. What, did the Mexican government tell CSRL to let 24 members of their own cartel get arrested as well ? How nice of CSRL to let themselves get arrested.
