Veracruz: Police Apprehend A Gulf Cartel Criminal Cell

A criminal cell composed of three criminals, allegedly affiliated with the Gulf cartel was captured in the municipality of Naranjos, in the Huasteca Veracruziana region, in an operation performed by agents of public security of the State who also seized weapons and magazines.

The detainees are identified as alleged members of said criminal group, generators of violence in the region and responsible for other crimes such as extortion, fee collections, theft of cattle, businesses, cargo transport and transfer of narcotics.

The operation to stop them came about thanks to intelligence work that allowed authorities to locate the alleged criminals, who were assured of short firearms and AK-47 rifles, a fragmentation grenade, tactical vests, two black hats with the CDG insignia, a ballistic Kevlar helmet, two plate carriers, six magazines and a lot of rounds. In addition to a Jeep truck with license plates XGK698A.

The detainees were identified as Cristian Mariel "N" alias ​​"El Gordo" and Eric Matthew "N" alias ​​"El Negro", both originating from Tamaulipas and Francisco "N" alias "Pancho", originally from Tuxpan.

According to reports, the detainees operated in the municipalities of de Álamo y Naranjos, and responded to the orders of a criminal cell of the Gulf cartel.
