"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The crime was perpetrated against a man last February, although the condition of the victim is currently unknown at this time.

Two women who were wanted in the state of Zacatecas for the crime of kidnapping, were apprehended thanks to the cooperative collaboration between federal and state authorities.

Personnel from the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (CONASE) and the Attorney General's Office of Zacatecas (FGJE), through their Specialized Prosecutor's Office to Combat Kidnapping (FECS), worked in a coordinated manner to determine the area of operation of a criminal group related to the kidnapping of a man, which occurred last February.

Investigation, cabinet and field work carried out by CONASE and FECS allowed the area of operation of this criminal group to be located, as well as the identity of some of its members, which allowed obtaining the corresponding arrest warrants for the crime of kidnapping.

Through a joint operation, the court orders against the two women in the municipality of Guadalupe, Zacatecas, were complied with.

Those likely responsible were respected at all times of their basic human rights and were immediately placed at the disposal of the corresponding authority.
