Villagrán, Guanajuato: Deceased Police Officers Found

A magistrate judge who was also kidnapped along with the elements is alive and only had minor injuries

Authorities from the Guanajuato government confirmed the finding of four bodies, which correspond to the municipal police officers who were kidnapped after an attack on the Villagrán Municipal Police Station, for which there are already 7 dead elements.

They also confirmed that the magistrate judge, who had been kidnapped along with the elements, is alive and only had minor injuries.

“A while ago the four deceased public servants appeared, and the municipality of Villagrán confirmed that they are members of the municipal police. The magistrate judge also appeared alive, with some minor injuries, ”said Sophia Huett López, commissioner of Security in Guanajuato.

The attack on the facilities of the Municipal Police of Villagrán took place on the night of December 11, and initially left a balance of three dead, plus five kidnapped people, four security elements and a magistrate judge, the only survivor.

Villagrán is one of the 19 municipalities of Guanajuato that form the industrial corridor of the state, through which the Mexican Petroleum pipelines connected to the Salamanca Refinery pass through.

Armed clashes in this municipality have increased due to the fight between the security forces and the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, which is dedicated to the theft of fuel in the area.

In recent months, violence in the state of Guanajuato has increased due to constant attacks linked to organized crime.

  4. Unfortunately, giving free passes and candy were not in the end. A common thing with why Mexico is struggling with.
No municipal/government position is worth dying for. Much less when retribution from your own is only met with treachery. Seems to be the majority of these deaths.
