Video: La Union de Tepito, Altars of Sacrifice, Drugs,Tunnels and Weapons

Mega security operation in Mexico City achieves strong blow to the Union Tepito , there are 36 detainees;  Elements of the Mexican Navy Secretariat conduct a strong operation in several neighborhoods and the streets of Peralvillo and Tepito. 33 Peralvillo  is made up of several three-level buildings.

Supported by police from the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City, they extended the security line in several surrounding streets. The important mobilization of security forces covers streets such as Peralvillo, Libertad, Jesús Carranza and Aztecas.

The operation was deployed in the early hours of this Tuesday. The capital authorities seized more than 2 tons of marijuana, long weapons with useful cartridges. In addition, they discovered 11 wineries where the drug was stored and two tunnels that connected to the area.

The Secretary of Citizens Security of the capital explained that drugs and weapons of various sizes were seized, the operation was in Tepito and in the Morelos neighborhood.

According to the first reports of the agency, several searches were carried out this morning in which wineries, safety tunnels and long weapons, including grenade launchers, which allegedly belong to the Union Tepito  were found.

During the searches carried out in the first and second homes, two laboratories were found for the manufacture of synthetic drugs ; In addition, about 50 kilos of chemical precursor, 2.5 tons of marijuana, 20 kilos of cocaine and four of methamphetamine were seized .

The 36 arrested by the Navy/ Marines and the capital agency were transferred to the Attorney General's Office in Azcapotzalco and of these, five are women.

Elements of the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, Police, Investigation and Preventive Police of Mexico City, implemented a fence in the streets of Comonfort, Libertad, Jesús Carranza, Estanquillo and Matamoros.

They entered a house located at number 33 of Peralvillo street. There they found a lot of weapons and narcotics. When reviewing two othe properties in the area, which were allegedly used as warehouses, they found 13 short firearms, seven long firearms, a rocket launcher tube, 17 long-arm loaders and 37 short-arm loaders, in addition to a 1, 520 sseful cartridges and five grenades.

Police also found 20 firearms and a rocket launcher. It was reported that there were more than 1520 rounds, there were also grenades. And that they seized half a million pesos. Inside the vicinity people talked about narco labs, and vehicles with reports of theft. Altars of Santeria were found with human skulls. And also a tunnel was discovered that connected the neighborhood located on Calle Peralvillo with another one on Calle Jesús Carranzas. The door entrances to these tunnels were reportedly reinforced. They even had electricity. It is believed that more drugs and weapons are hidden in this tunnel."
