El Taliban Captured

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

The top photo is one commonly seen the lower one is a recent photo

It appears the war of the mantas between” Z40” (Miguel Angel Trevino) and El Taliban (Ivan Velazquez Caballero) other monikers are; Z50, L50, and 50 has been halted.  The Secretary of the Marina announced the capture of “Taliban”.  The apprehension occurred today in the capital city  San Luis Potosi in the state bearing the same name.  Authorities report that he had been recently conducting criminal activities in Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon.
Interesting is the fact that in the announcement the Marina stated that he was a leader of “Los Zetas” cartel, despite the recent indications, and narco manta declaring that he had left the cartel and joined the Cartel del Golfo (CDG), the archenemy of the Zetas.  This was said to be from an internal conflict between Z40,  another leader with greater status than El Taliban,  and the captured narco.
Violence erupted  several weeks ago in locations such as SLP, Zacatecas, and Torreon attributed to the conflict or possibly a conflict between Z40 and  the other top leader of the Zetas Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano, aka"El Lazca".
No other information was given today other than the presentation will be in Mexico City in the coming hours, at that time certainly details will be released.
The reward offered by Mexico for information leading to the location of El Taliban was 30M pesos, no word if anyone will be collecting the funds.

  4. wow its amazing even the newest big name guys in CDG are going down!Id speculate that maybe CDG only pretended to accept Taliban so they could gain useful info and contacts from him before they turned him in(although why not just kill him?), but if i did that the trolls on this site would prob attack my idea as being incredibly stupid!z40 must be dying laughing after he invaded reynosa, committed murders in that state on video and now taliban is gone!shit, maybe it was z40 who turned him in!elcochiloco

  7. Hey Chivis it does say he is a leader of los zetas but if u keep reading further in the spanish article, it states that he was operating independently with zetas cells.

  8. Someone is collecting the rewards on these guys and it's probably their rivals. They bring them out to fight over plazas and then get snitched.
Btw, Keep up the good work by informing us BB.

  9. Chapo could easily make a move and take CDG and be full time owner... CDG is done.. at the end there's gonna be 2 cartels, Zetas vs CDS...

I was gone all day but could access twitter and BB..on twitter is where I got the info for the announcement directly from the sec of marina. it was not much. I wrote in down and added what i knew and when I arrived home quickly made the post. so you are saying he is an independant cell for Zetas? that sure does not make sense. That means the mantas were bogus and he is not with CDG. thats possible.

more info will come out as this unfolds

post the link to where you saw that. thanks for the info...paz, chivis

  16. I find it comical how some of the die hard BB members treat the carnage in Mexico like a narco version of fantasy football.

It is even funnier how you all change your "knowledgable" assesments and predictions on the fly to make yourselves seem like you have some handle on a country's situation which you have probably never visited even as tourists let alone lived in to undrstand and navigate its cultural complexities.

The truth is that you all have absolutely no clue about what is going on here in Mexico, and you should be humble and intelligent enough to not root for a cartel that doesn't give a fuck about your opinion. Trust me the tweekers and junkies that are getting their high on whether it be in the ghetto or the country club don't give a fuck who is supplying their habits, as long as it is fishscale or uncut.

Of course this will not happen, you all will continue with your fantasy cartel prognostications, but as long as in the back of your mind the words I wrote remind you once in a while that you all are fucking clueless about something you only have fantasies about participating in no matter if it is just a meaningless vicarious experience, like supporting one cartels demise or favoring another cartel on an website that covers something you don't have the courage to directly influence.

Just stand back and witness history in the making, you can't stop it you can't alter it because first of all you don't have the vested interest that these Mexicans have in steering the path of their nation for better or for worse, and second you don't have the guts to die for anything, you just want to live your anonymous eventless and safe american lives, and while your at it look down on everyone who is not like you while your "American Hero Soldiers" will keep your life just the way it is by invading, submiting and enslaving any vulnerable or defiant nation that threatens national security (read, has vital resources needed for the USA to stay a first world nation at any and every third world nation's expense).

Relax chumps, you all look like preppy schoolgirls gossiping about the afterschool fight that those mexican kids always get in....LOL!!!

    3. Some of us have spent a lot of time in Mexico. I have been through all of Tamps, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Sinaloa and Durango...not to mention numerous trips through all of Baja and Michoacan. I love Mexico and am a gringo. I agree that some of the people on this site are idiots who play out their delusions of gallantry by acting like they would fight the cartels if it were only them being victimized.
Ignorance is rampant and you prove to be no exception. 'Chumps' ? There are plenty of knowledgable people and others who want to be informed about the war in your country. Are you saying that you would rather not have the reality of Mexico shown to America? This is one of the only places for Americans to become informed. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and thank God for BB. Tough talk online is stupid and the idiot faction on this site is large. However most people are idiots and unfortunately we need these idiots to help raise awareness. Change will only come through an informed and outraged public in bothe USA and mex. Mexico doesn't have the will to fight back hard enough and America's drug laws are making the cartels more powerful than the mex army.

  21. Oye 12:19 im mexican and ur right, most people on bb only predict and comment about wat they think is going on in mexico, and there are some that are only cheerleaders, who want the cartel closest to their parents place of birth, to be el mas chingon!! So in that aspect ur right, but what makes bb such a good blog is dat every so often someone does post some info that turns out to be true, and does give u an insight into some movida. Nobody wants mexico to be the piece of shit it is right now, but its we the mexicans who let it get like dis,its we who allow the corruption, its we who dnt think twice about breaking the law in mex ,wheather it be a traffic violation or a bribe to an officer or public official! We have accepted this lawlessness ,from the president all the way down to da average joe! Im mexican and am very proud of it, but am ashamed of what our country has become!!!!

I say z40 got wind of his location and informed the marina just to get him out of the way since taliban knew alot he could have easly known were 40 was so he decided to take him out the chest game before he got tookn out himself in a matter like camaron did. Taliban knew to much for cdg to snitch him out n taliban got betrayed by zetas so no way he was thinking of going back.

  28. Wow. El Taliban looks like he's been hanging out at the buffet line at Carnitas Queretaro pigging out (pardon the pun) on various pork products such as puerco adobado, pigs feet, and pork tamales. Not very Taliban-ish IMHO. I'm beginning to think that these stupid nicks they call themselves have nothing to do with reality. (i.e. El Brad Pitt)One exception is Z-42 and Z-40, which really refer to their IQs. Mark my words, Z-42 is going to look like a total retard. All that money and they spend it all on carnitas. Pathetic.....and these are the guys that they glorify in narcocorridos ?????? !!!

  29. Everyone that allies with the gulf cartel is falling, gulf cartel is good as dead. Zetas will move in at full force. Their is nothing caballeros or chapo can do. Chapo is pretty much having to deal wih the juarez and beltran that even though calderon was paid to pave the way for chapo they have still managed to defy him at all moments. Now zetas will take over the gulf territories and look to destroy cjng which is already fighting templarios and chapo. Jalisco is next then chapos sinaloa state and michoacan are gonna be attacked

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh goody, now he can go to prison, recruit more killers and escape nice and recharged.

    ReplyDelete
  31. He was gonna fall either way because hes a traitor, his own people loyal to lasca and z40 turned him in for going against his own cartel and switching to his enemies. Theyre all scared now theyre is nothing anyone can do for the gulf cartel they are done. chapo does not have.the man power to go for the gulf cartels territory and they dont know the territory like the zetas which know it like the back of their hand. Zeta win for now

I live in Canada and go to Mexico as much as I can. I love it there and come to BB to keep an eye on what is happening there. It is not my only source but has been a good one. I also don't use drugs or anything else that puts money into the cartels. I am not naive enough to think that what happens in Mexico will not effect me here at home if it continues the way that it is going. I would like to know if there was something that I could do to stop what is going on down there, but admittedly, I am clueless.

Turned himself in, got turned in by CDG after they used him up, good ole fashioned police work(i.e. US intelligence/Marinas)?? Cant wait to see how this one plays out.

I think Taliban just got caught being wrong place wrong time cdg needed Taliban not only for info but since their leaders been falling who else to lead against z40 now who does cdg have left against the Z what real leadership do they have now cdg wheres CDs in all of this they been quiet they need allies too against the Z I wanna here z40 dropped or caught majority of violence is caused by z40 and his lust for power get him and violence slows down not ends but slows the question now whos next z40 now gng to jump on this opportunity to take advantage and seize territory from cdg prolonging any effect to destroy the Z leaving one to wonder who gng to stay standing and prevail it's any bodys guess now peace.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This is more scary than people think?Does this show the power of the Z?(I hope i don't get attacked for having an opinion)Has he jumped? Was he given up?A lot of this seems manipulated by someone being very astute? All the mantas, which we still don't know if they are from who they say they are,it seems coordinated and planned?Or maybe just thinking to much into this.Anyway,is it still an open topic that we can comment on,without getting hysterically attacked?I thought this guy had cancer?
