Sicario Extradited Back to Mexico After Living in Ohio for 10 Years

Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico - The Baja California State Attorney General's Office (PGRE) confirmed that Edgar Campos Barraza, aka, "El Cholo" was extradited to Mexico from the U.S. on April 12. He was living in the country illegally. The U.S. Border Patrol turned Barraza over to Mexican authorities at the San Diego-Tijuana border crossing.
Barraza had lived in Sandusky, Ohio for ten years until he was taken into custody on January 5, by the U.S. Border Patrol agents from Sandusky and San Diego stations, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, after Mexican authorities provided information to the U.S. where Barraza was residing.
Barraza is accused of kidnapping Raúl Bejarano Escalante in 2000 and was later released after a $900 thousand dollar ransom was paid, according to the PGRE.
Barraza worked as a hitman for the Garibay criminal organization and the Sinaloa Cartel. He participated in multiple homicides, kidnappings, drug trafficking and other crimes against the public health.

  5. After living in the US for 10 years they are going to deport him, break up his family, leave his wife and children without his love and support all because of some stupid immigration laws that need to be revised. I feel so bad for his family. They haven't done anything wrong and they must devastated by this random persecution based on some so-called information that has yet to be tested in a court of law.

How can they be so cruel? The man hasn't been convicted of anything in court and yet they arbitrarily snatch him up and send him to a jail in a country that by now he barely knows. Someone should contact MALDEF and the ACLU. Clearly this man's rights and those of his family have been trampled.

  6. Just shows who's coming across the border...not everyone has the best intentions. Once a criminal, always a criminal.

  7. I find it difficult to believe a sicario would move out of the country and simply stop criminal behavior. However, if the US had knowledge of such they would have tried him in the US first before extradition.

It was Mx that brought to the US information about the criminal and where exactly he was residing....Paz, Chivis

  9. Round up about 12 million more and send them back also. then work out a program like the old bracero was. that way only men who are needed as laborers in the USA come..yes, some will sneak away and never go back, but we will not have the burden of all those wives, their children. save USA Billions in medicaid, schooling, food stamps, etc. etc. adios, illegals.

  13. Easy for someone to hide up in the U.S and not be spotted for a very long time. But to be extradited from the U.S. and not have anything to be charge on is quite suprising as well. Seems like the U.S. is always sending out multiple indictments on people like el Chapo from afar, and nothing on a hitman with blood on his hands. Wonder how this will play out. Oops death in the mexican court system if he makes it that far
