The Aftermath of Nuevo Laredo

Authorities in Nuevo Laredo anounced on March 1, 2012 that the Mexican military and federal police forces were involved in a shootout with armed sicarios in the Nuevo Laredo-Colombia highway in three separate events. The toll was reported to be 13 sicarios killed. In this shooting it is believed a boss of the plaza was among those killed.

Boderland Beat had already reported on this event but we are including the photographs of the aftermath to get a sense of the extent of the violence generated by these three events.

We must caution BB readers that the photographs are extremely graphic and discretion is advised.

  10. Man,any of our Mexican bros, know how this played out?Was the authorities waiting for them, ambush style?Or did it go off, because Guerra and his crew just happened to run into the authorities?Or were they set up in some way?Convoy riding crewed up,with AKs/ARs is gonna bring attention, and i,m surprised this doesn't happen all the time.Even in the dark,it looks like they were all still in the vehicles, and they just got it poured into them?So what way did it go,i cant see these dudes wanting to pop off with army, and trained personnel?I be like"hit the gas and dont stop"till morning?

  21. Looks like the chevy, the windshield riddled with bullet holes, was the lead vehicle and didn't want to stop at a roadblock. All dead and still in their seats. The Jeep, which was following veered offroad to escape and became stuck. Then it took fire from all sides.
They probably tried to surrender but the army had no room in their trucks for prisoners.

  22. Sure hope they enjoyed those luxury trucks while they were still alive.

May be the people you know never did any fighting and they told you a bunch of lies. Some people like killing, some don't. That is why the Armed Forces have about 1000 different.specialties, and you choose what you like. Some do office work, and some do the fighting. You get it? AIRBORNE! ALL THE WAY!!!!!

And let me tell you one thing that is very real: once you shoot somebody, or you get shot, you will never be the same again, that will go with you for the rest of your life. You are right nobody likes to kill a human being, but it was a service to our country. You just follow orders from your chain of command. Nobody hates more the war than the soldiers who fight it, and the fighting soldier is the most PEACE loving person. We pray for PEACE every single moment of our lives. God Bless you brother. 31. This is happening every day now. Mexican military are good well trained fighters and they don't lose many men these days. They are kicking cartel ass.

I saw an article last night that said the white armored car was carrying "El Guerra". Why wasn't he riding in an armored hummer or something more protective? Why would he be in a little convoy? I read that he was Z-15, one of the original Zs. Is this true? If it is that is good news, gotta get the original leaders of this organization. They are the only competent members, the rest are gang kids, petty criminals and campensinos.

Not really, but since we don't have capital punishment, we have to go around the system.

March 9, 2012 12:28 PM No my friend, I'm sorry but no helicopters were used here. What you see on top of the white vehicle is the sheet metal from the right rear door. No explosives were used on this event.

front doors, the metal or Glass hanging off the top has been blow onto the roof, theres also burn marks under the car. whats left of the rear door is charred.

I WANT TO SEE THERE DUMB LOOK IN THERE FACE BEFORE THEY DIED,I FIND IT FUNNY KNOWING THAT THERE LIFE WAS WORTHLESS AND THEY DIED SUPPORTING A CORRUPT GOVERMENT.Now dont be uneven and put there pictures up too,I forgot its a really bad look for Mexico.

Alot of people see this and think its always like that,in reality more military officers, municipales, federales die when they go toe to toe with real cartel sicarioz. Example Guasave Sinaloa A five hour shootout resulted in way more military officers dead and the leader of the sicarios
    got away.

In fact I would make sure the entire city of Nuevo Laredo was lined with the heads of these pinche chingada fuckheads. The streets of the Zeta capital should run red with their blood.

  54. I want to see the dead Military personnel. Do y'all think for one minute they didn't lose more? They did and if you have ever seen any of the Mexican Military, you would say how could anyone turn them loose with a gun. Lets see, 13 dead cartel privates, about 3,000 more incidents like this one and then a little headway will be made. Legalize it and shut this war down. Mexico can't afford a 10 year war that they will end up losing like the US did in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. How about some good political judgement for once? Thank God PAN is on it's way out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I guess we should kill the families of every dirty cop, lawyer, judge and politician here as well as in Mexico. It would be a lot cheeper and save a lot of bullets to just legalize it though. It's going to happen sooner or later anyway. The USA loves it's drugs. Go back to the Guns and Ammo blog.

    1. No I am not mad, because there is no reason to be mad.

I think for you to call me uneducated, actually made you seem uneducated, how ironic huh??
Now i dont really think you understood the point of my last comment, let me explain further since some people seemed to not have understood the clear and obvious point.

Notice that on my last comment i payed no attention to the.13 dead sicarios,Zetas. That was on purpose. You want to know why? There will always be criminals, there will always be drugs and death as we know it is natural,my point being, somehow our ancestors managed to coexist with these same criminals, similar problems, now why is my country having a hard time managing this uncontrollable situation,ha maybe because its that, uncontrollable.

The clear problem here is the Mexican Goverment trying to control the criminals instead of doing their primary job which is to protect the public.

It doesnt get any more simpler that that.

And yes im aware that simpler may not even be a word but you get my point.

So what is the right solution? When your dealing with this type of problem there is no right
solution.Sometimes you cant always have it your way,and some sort of agreement with these highly organized criminal enterprises is the best solution.Example the United States does this,Canada,Spain,Columbia,China, most,if not all, the prosperous countries are already in bed with important criminal bosses, now why doesnt Mexico do the same is beyond me?

  70. Miguelito (a gringo) says when he lived in Oaxaca, the capital, the federales were murderers as much as the trafficantes. I have had many weapons in my face and my bodyguard, Genaro, a chicano, had a machete, sharpened until it would slice a hair saved us many times. He has take a few limbs and the trafficantes and the federales were both terrified. Now with the onslaught of cocaine, they are not fearful. They have bravery with the deadly white powder. Both my brothers have lost their lives with that devils rock. Now when I go to Mexico and Central America, I have an automatic weapon secreted and much munition to take care of myself and have not been bothered since. 3 rounds through the bullet proof roof of a cherokee, burnt to hell. along with the passengers who tried to repel fire to no avail.

    1. Your the one that has to get your facts straight, mi amigo.

That seven hour shootout happened in Guasave, yes Guasave in the state of Sinaloa, therefor im using it as an example, what part didnt you understand? jaja

What happened in Quila(chapo territory) is a different story, unrelated to the shootout in guasave.Actually, and suprisingly the people detained, suspected of being involved in the shootout were members of the Guasave police force
they were suspected of helping the sicarios escape. The convoy of sicarios got away.

Seven hour shootout and they only reported 3 military officers dead, but I dont know why I would highly doubt that.

Staying on topic its obvious that these 13 sicarios were ambushed.

Hey nice try though, maybe you can correct me next time.
