"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Three CFE employees in Sonora were killed in an armed attack by members of organized crime operating in the region of Ónavas, Sonora.

Sonora Public Security reported that, around 9 am on Tuesday, it received a 911 report, where it mentions that they lost communication with workers from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) when they were traveling on the Hermosillo-Yécora highway.

The SSP confirmed that the report was attended by agents of the State Police (PESP), the National Guard and the Secretary of National Defense.

"@fgjesonora and the Delegation of the Attorney General of the Republic will provide more information on the facts as soon as the process allows it," Public Security shared on its Twitter account.

Unofficial information is circulating on social networks that there are 3 dead workers and one more injured, who was transferred to Hermosillo to receive medical attention.

  4. Mexico sovereign country needs Rambos that not afraid to have a shoot-out with the criminals. I am sure the criminal cartel if they lost and some survived, they would call curupt officials on their payroll to do something about the Rambos. Mireles of Michoacan, did what was right, and the Army picked him under gun charges.
