Celaya, Guanajuato: Local Merchant Leader Alvaro Luna Is Executed By CJNG

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

A video has surfaced of the execution of local merchant leader Alvaro Luna. The armed attack at the popular Tianguis on Mondays took place on June the 13th of last week.

Three armed men participated in the assault. One stood by as a sentry, another recorded the crime, while the third male pulled the trigger that ended Mr. Luna’s life.

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel gunmen purposely recorded themselves on film with words and actions for their crime. A narco message was placed on his corpse following the contract killing.

Warning: Graphic Video

Video translation is as follows:

We are the absolute Jalisco New Generation Cartel you dogs! This goes out to all the gang of extortionists, fee collectors, your worlds will go to shit! We’re in charge here!

    3. @5:26 Everything you'll ever see in life is seasonal. Enjoy it all while it's still there. Learn from it as well. Inevitably we all leave for our own personal reasons or because life pushes us elsewhere.

    3. They cut this guy's face off and apparently cleaned it ( the part the presses up against the skull ). And tried to have some of his cohorts wear it.

And Sol that shit was creepy. The second put it on and wow.

    4. I didn't watch it nor do I care to. Many times I wonder if they care what their parents or grandparents would say if they watched a video of them committing these heinous acts.

    5. 8:08 Imagine caring what your parents think in general, about anything…

  4. The victim resembles Sosa's henchman in Scarface. The cadaverous dude who got wasted by Tony Montana because he wanted to blow up little kids.

    1. DING DING DING!!! You mean Hector Salamanca from Breaking Bad and Better call Saul, who can't talk, only uses a bell? Mike Margolis. He does, a bit. A kid shooting a stallholder and decrying extortion is just unbelievable though. Say the exact opposite of the truth to muddy the waters, and it works.

    2. Blacks watch that Scarface film like it’s a “fucking bible dawg”. Lames 🤣! Remember that dvd with the commentary from all the rappers thinking they’re G’s.

This fool with the whitewashed skinny jeans 👖 hahahaha

    3. So what if many Black folks love watching
      Scarface. Is that a crime?

    4. No nothing wrong with watching a movie except that blacks talk shit about Latinos/Hispanics or Mexicans, etc but want to emulate even try that Italian or Sicilian style from back in the day but you’ll have no structure.

    5. 4:12/9:55, Raza listens to Rap music, veteranos listen to oldies, you have mexicans in Chicago, Texas and California calling eachother "Nigga" but you wanna give Black's a hard time for liking Scarface?! Shit makes no sense.

      Delete
    6. @5:31
Just admit that you and those who speak and listen to all that except maybe the oldies are low key gay

      Delete
    7. @7:41 Let me get this straight. According to you blacks are lame because they supposedly worship scarface and try to emulate Italian and Sicilian style, whatever that means. Someone else brings up how mexicans are influenced by black culture, from the way they speak to the music they listen to and because you have nothing to come back with you want them to admit they're gay. LMAO.

      Delete
    8. 741, You gotta be gay if you're giving oldies the pass. What are you talking about, saying "except the oldies". Bunch of grown ass black men singing about love and heartbreak while pretending to sound like women. LMAO couldn't get any gayer than that. No need to admit, you just confirmed you're a JOTO.

    9. Not all oldies are by blacks you dumb fuck

  10. Hang on, this guy was the Leader of the Merchants in this market, as in he stood up for them (good guy)and was just another merchant himself. Then CJNG try to just say "he was the bad guy" when in reality he was attempting to protect his fellow merchants from an unacceptable level of extortion??

  13. https://periodicocorreo.com.mx/lider-de-comerciantes-en-celaya-alvaro-luna-es-asesinado-en-tianguis/

  16. I'm going to repeat some of the things that have already been mentioned but for the sake of clarity, this killing took place in the Tianguis de Los Lunes, a flee market that opens in Celaya every Monday over the past 70+ years.

Around 400 merchants are part of a formal union, Unión de Comerciantes del Tianguis de los Lunes Benito Juárez, in which 68 year old Jeremías Álvaro Luna was serving as Secretary General.

It was reported in April that 30% of businesses in Celaya that were part of Coparmex had closed due to COVID or extortion and 53% of businesses in the state of Guanajuato had been the victim of crime, be it theft or extortion.

Those are the facts. I will refrain from opinion, but let's just say it would be more in line with Ms. H than Billy Jean.

    2. 7:53 totally agree but theres something fishy here, celaya is pretty much CSRDL last strong hold, so was this to heat up the plaza (cjng) or was it a set up (csrdl) to get federal forces involved and stop cjng from advansing? If it was cjng than i guess all of guanajuato is already cjng, before you say i cheer for one or other cartel just know that if it was in my power i would kill every last one of them and depending on their wrong doings that would be the way they would die, cds, cjng, cdn, zetas, juarez, golfos, fm, blo every one of them can go where they belong and thats hell

      Delete
    3. My two cents, for what it's worth, is I agree that -in a sense- Celaya is the last stronghold of CSRL. However they no longer dominate the plaza and are currently on the defensive in many ways.

There have been allegations that the local government is colluding with CJNG (see http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2022/05/csrl-justifies-their-celaya-attack.html for example).

So, I don't see this so much as heating up the plaza. To me, it's more lashing out against anyone with possible CSRL connections in order to try and consolidate power.

      Delete
    4. Itzli i applaude that👏👏👏 and im not talking about your comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣 jk
I mean if you know and lived in a hot spot you should know anything can happen, but most likely it was cjng trying to kill anybody who "they think" has anything to do with csrdl
