Ensenada, Baja California: Women Linked to 'El Chatarras' Threatened

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

A couple of women who are related to Víctor Manuel Padilla Murillo alias “El Chatarras” or “El Negro”, operator of the Sinaloa Cartel in Ensenada, assassinated in Mexico City in August 2020, were threatened in a narco message, in Ensenada.

The report arrived at the C4 (Centers of Command, Control, Communications and Computer) this Thursday, May 20 at 7:50 a.m., where they reported that on the bridge of the El Gallo stream in the Carlos Pacheco neighborhood there was a canvas with a message.

“Elizabeth Martínez Serrano, Cintia García Santos, both of you are trying to follow in the footsteps of Chatarras or El Negro. You seem to think that you’re junior drug pushers. Just as well both of you were lovers of Padilla alias Chatarras.

For us there are no limits because we are working people. We have you both located. Soon we will come for you to finish the work that other people couldn’t. Don't fuck around thinking you’re brave.

We know that the SEIDO (Office of the Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime Investigation) took care of Chatarras. That doesn’t mean that they will look after you and your family. Cintia, if you don't want to see your family cry for you, get the fuck out of the way.

Otherwise, the same fate will befall you as it did with Chatarras. It doesn’t really matter where you are. We’re coming after those who believe they are bosses, and we hold no limits. Sincerely, La Mera Verga of Ensenada”.

The blanket was removed and handed over to the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), which is responsible for the investigation.

It should be noted that Elizabeth Martínez Serrano was injured by gunfire to the head on Wednesday, March 10, when she was leaving an office with a minor on Moctezuma Street between Octava and Séptima in the Central Zone. Unofficial data indicates that the victim is still in recovery.

  1. Ensenada is bad rn. For the amount of population it has, it’s homicide rate is very high.
