Mexican investigators have identified new suspects from La Familia Michoacana (LFM) that were involved in the ambush that left 17 police officers dead in Coatepec de Harinas and Alquisiras municipalities last month.

The photographs of the suspects show them carrying firearms and having several tattoos, which can help investigators facilitate their identification. Authorities believe that these suspects are hiding in narco training camps in the State of Mexico and parts of Guerrero. Most of the suspects are believe to be between the ages of 16 and 30 years old.

Investigators say that three people masterminded the attack: Alberto Romero Perez, alias 'Macrina'' Silverio Martinez Hernandez, alias 'Fierros'; and Gilberto Misael Ortiz Trujillo, alias 'Barbas'. State authorities are offering up to MXN$500,000 (US$24,000) to anyone that provides valuable information that leads to their capture.

LFM is headed by Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga, alias 'El Pez', and his brother José Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga, alias 'La Fresa'. They are among Mexico's most-wanted criminals.

  1. How sad that these young faces will end up in jail or in one of the videos being mutilated. There is no happy ending, truly sad that my beloved Mexico is falling apart at the seams like this.

  3. There are 2 types/phenotype of michoacanos the good ones and bad ones and sadly these are the type of ugly ones that give my beautiful people and state a bad rep smh

    1. The word "phenotype" has nothing to do with good or bad behavior if that is what you're referring to in the first clause of your "sentence". The second clause is fine.

    1. Not at all, typical Indio breeds from Michoacán .. all under 5’2” about 110lbs soaking wet, malnourished with testosterone levels of a preteen girl, none of them can grow a decent mustache, very vicious in a group of armed men but weaklings on their own two feet .. this is your typical “man” from michoacan and southern states ... come to Chihuahua or Sonora we have women bigger than these clowns

  10. PEz and Fresa are NOT the absolute leaders of LFM. LFM is a loosely organized wannabe cartel from Michoacan, a sizable portion of the org. is controlled by the Sierra santana brothers but there are other independent guys that at one time or another considered themselves FM but have their own group of people like El Tena

    1. Sierra Santanas are Los Viagras/LNFM, original LFM are the people/familia of Chayo, Chango, Kike, Dioniso and La Tuta. If I'm not mistaken Pez and Fresa were under El Pony and IDK or remember when he aligned himself or who was his boss

    2. FM a wannabe cartel? They had almost the ENTIRE state of Michoacán under control in their prime. Back when El Chayo, El Chango, La Tuta and the Plancarte family were united. As horrible as they were, no one trifled with them. El Chango forgave El Mencho when he was a rival sicario in the 00s for the Valencia family. He had him on his knees and begged for his life. El Chango gave El Mencho mercy but later on El Mencho killed El Chango's brother for the humiliation he had felt. El Mencho never returned until most of them were dead or imprisoned.

  11. LFM seems like the 2nd youngest cartel, next to the elementary school kids in CDN/Tropa Del Infierno who have not even hit puberty
