E
lements of the National Guard arrested two 22-year-old’s in possession of an arsenal. One of the women is identified as the niece of the leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, aka “El Marro”.

The women respond to the names of Denisse and María Fernanda. Denisse [ wearing red jacket in above image] is indicated as a relative of the wanted criminal from Guanajuato.

According to the National Guard, the detainees are originally from the municipality of Juventino Rosas and arrested around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, in the Santa Elena Sur neighborhood, in Apaseo El Alto, where two people were reported using guns.

After the warning to the 911 emergency line, federal troops noticed that the truck where the two girls were driving had a report of theft. It is a Hyundai, Crete, model 2018, cherry color, without plates, which had been stolen in Celaya.
Upon noticing the officers' presence, the two women threw down two long weapons, and were immediately arrested.

  2. I cannot understand why they involve their extended families like this. You would want to protect your family, not expose them to this. They must believe they will keep on going forever. Like Mencho making his children Capo's. Why would he do that? Expose them to a life on the run. I don't get it.

    1. Yes. The ‘good hearted’ crim would not wish to involve family members. Setting up shop in the hometown where all of the family members are located may be tactically smart on one level, especially if the crim believes they are immune from prosecution By virtue of gov. Complicity. But this is inter generational lifestyle in many cases, where all family are expected to participate or choose to (AFO cones to mind). Like choosing religion, it should, in a perfect world that will never exist be up to the individual to participate or go another way. I can’t imagine wishing Family to get caught up,in ones own enterprise knowing the risks and the consequences that are inevitable.

    2. Families are exposed anyways. Better to be in business with people you trust.

    3. When you decentralize power you end up with a situation one might liken to the current state of the Gulf Cartel.

This is one reason the Guzmanes & Zambadas stick together, and is the same reason historically royalty would build alliances via marrying into neighbouring dynasties.

    3. It really is unbelievable that people like 10:45 & 1:30 come onto this site and post comments basically defending and arguing for one criminal group or the other. It doesn’t matter where the leaders are hiding or if their families are involved or which group is running around controlling things. Mexico will never clean itself from these cartels until people like the commenters above quit cheering for them!!! Is there really nothing better to do in Mexico??

    1. Apparently his own gas was insufficient to enrich himself. Pinche puerco con tanto pedos y toda via sigue chingando.
Now his niece has gotten herself killed & just don't know it.
Her picture posted clearly unlike those deceased whose names & faces are blurred. Maybe charges of homicide should also apply to the editor for posting such pictures. After all; it's a death sentence without a proper trial.

    3. That is true I guess cjng did not like they want all the money which was probably paid by the goverment or even the petroleum company’s

    5. 11:25 when EPN sent his Estado Mayor Presidencial Generales to direct PEMEX BANKRUPTCY involving all the theft they could handle with Huachicoleros like el Marro, he did not send the best people or the best equipment, el Marro just fell in to the top of his cell, but he is one more nobody fighting for his governor.

  8. This battle for Guanajuato has forced Marro to expand from huachilacaro to int’l drug dealer, simply to gain enough power to be able to fund this rebellion. Is he any better than mencho? I have no clue. No one could except those who know the man. One thing that is safe to assume is that he can not be any worse and therefore I hope he repels them and in doing so costs them a ton of resources and best sicarios. Peace

    1. When did Marro become an international drug supplier? His business was stealing fuel, after the federal government seized his vehicles, real estate, revenues and bank accounts his crew started to extort, kidnap and threatened with harm business owners who didn't sell his drugs. Ain't no good guys in the GTO war!

  9. She most likely will end up raped tortured and cut into pieces when cjng gets a hold of her like they did marros sister. She’ll be lucky if she gets a bullet to the head or 3 to the back
