14 Year Old American Tries to Cross the Mx/US Border with Arsenal

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: El Sol y NogalesInt'l
14 year old American tries to cross an arsenal through Nogales
Ramsés Adrián 'N', entered Mexican territory aboard a Ford Explorer, in which they detected three assault rifles, for the exclusive use of the Army , two short weapons and 7,441 useful cartridges.

A 14-year-old U.S. citizen who tried to drive an SUV loaded with guns and ammunition into Mexico was arrested just south of the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry on Wednesday night after trying to flee a Mexican customs inspection.

According to Mexican media reports, the youth, who was the driver and sole occupant of a black Ford Explorer, drove south through the port into Mexico, where he drew the red light that requires a stop at the Mexican customs station.

However, when the suspect tried to flee, he reportedly crashed into a vehicle belonging to the SAT tax agency and was subsequently arrested.

The search of the vehicle uncovered  a .50-caliber Barrett semi-automatic sniper rifle , with two short stock loaders, two AK-47 rifles , two 9-millimeter Glock pistols , several magazines and several cardboard boxes with more than 7,400 projectiles of various calibers, 3,000 of them for AK 47's or "goat horns".

A Nogales Police Department dispatch report shows that NPD officers were called to the Port of Entry at 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday to help U.S. Customs and Border Protection close the southbound lanes in response to the incident.

A 14-year-old American-born teenager was arrested in Sonora for causing an accident and trying to pass through the customs of the Nogales checkpoint with nothing but an arsenal of long weapons, a pair of guns and boxes full of bullets.

In the protocol for the prevention of border violence, the Federal Police inspector and the National Guard clerk received a call from C5i, informing them that a person tried to flee when they entered Mexico and caused an accident between two vehicles.

The officers inspected the car and noticed two gun cases, in addition to another in the back seat for long weapons and five boxes with bullets of different calibers, next to a bag with several loaders.

When the child was questioned, he identified himself with the name of Ramses and Customs officials proceeded to check the interior of the car where they detected two 9-millimeter short weapons and a 50-caliber Barrett-branded rifle, in addition to three 7.62x39-caliber assault rifles.

The inspector informed the teenager of his detention for the crime of violation of firearms and explosives, in addition to the damage caused to the vehicle, which was available to the FGR along with the arsenal.

* The Consulate of the United States of America was informed about the detention of Ramsés Adrián 'N' , to continue with the legal procedures in the Federal Public Ministry. The detainee was referred to the Court specialized in Justice for Adolescents in Nogales.

  1. Underaged US citizen will be quickly released to his parents, no chicharra needed to make him confess about his partners in crime or weapons dealers, adults with NRA membership for sure.

    1. You’re a moron. Anybody with a NRA membership isn’t trying to sneak guns to Messico.

The law enforcement and some of the military are so corrupt that the cartels simply by the weapons straight from them or ship them in from some third world hello hole in exchange for drugs.

    3. NRA?? I smell someone who is brainwashed by mainstream media... NRA members are the least likely group to commit crimes.
People WHO WANT TO COMMIT CRIMES seek out and procure firearms, by a variety of means, to commit said crime.
--Youre regurgitating an American leftist political talking point, aimed at gun control. Very inaccurate.
IVE NEVER SEEN A DOCUMENT THAT SHOWS A DISPROPORTIONATELY HIGH % OF CRIME among the nra

  2. Barretts run about $10k in America, so god only knows how much they cost in Mexico. Anybody have any info on this? I read here once that 50 cal ammunition was $100 (US) per bullet in Michoacán.

    5. @ 12:48am- In the USA, .50 BMG ammunition runs $4-$7 a bullet. That's 77 to 134 pesos in a direct currency conversion, not taking into account black market mark-up. So yeah, it *is* $5 or 100 pesos a bullet, or more.

    6. Haha @12:48 I was about to say the same thing to 10:27. A 50 cal round maybe costs $5 US (or roughly $100 pesos) when purchased in the United States, and even then that’s a really low price. I could easily see that getting jacked up to around $100 US once you are as far south of the border as Michoacán.

    7. not to mention triple the .50 to about 30k or half a million MXP. yup. and per bullet, ive seen 50-100 for a 9/45/38

    1. The Mexican source called them "assault rifles for the exclusive use by the army" in ONE sentence. The US source calls them Sniper Rifles and AK47s.
Sorry, but I am NOT a gun expert or an expert anything for that matter.
We are currently relying on you expert folks to help us thru the maze of gun lingo. Thanks.

    3. The rifle has to be select fire. 3. Shot burst or full auto to be an assault rifle, otherwise its just a rifle.

    4. Rifles can be used to assault and to defend from assault, also to prevent people from assaulting you even before they are born if you kill their guerrilla producing parents, but rifles are trafficked to enhance the revenue of US weapons merchants irregardless of the consequences,

    5. The AK on the left (blonde wood furniture & black pistol grip) is a Romanian WASR-10 & was imported from Romania to the US. It is a great quality firearm.

The other AK with the bakelite (orange-ish) pistol grip looks to be a Riley Defense AK, which is made in the US.

  7. I’m sure down the line a few Mexican port entrys will start using X-ray.
I’ve notice several of these portable X-ray toll road booths mainly in northeast Mexico.

  9. Hopefully Mexico will slow walk the process of returning the little tyke back to the US for a couple years. The little thug knew exactly what he was doing and is using his age to game the system. Same scamming 'minor' shit the fake asylum seekers are using going north Maybe a couple years in a mexican jail being bitched out will help convince some of the other 'minor' gangster wannabes not to fuck around muling for the cartels in either direction

    1. Interesting input.
      Punishment in a Mexican jail?
A bit extreme for a young offender who definitely needs proper guidance. No Mexican jail will offer an educational or spiritual benefit upon his release. Rather, mental and physical trauma by those continuous human rights violations which spew from being incarcerated in such places as these.

America is the leader of mass incarceration globally. A commodity for many for those profiting on this epidemic.
A true society would embrace reasoning over neglecting practices for resolvement. Rather than continuing this revolving door of criminal apprehensions.
Many youths today are being discarded due to lack of HUMANITY.

    2. More trauma than rehabilitation with your practices. These young men need proper guidance and reinforcement through educational resources.
Mexican jails are nothing more than Human Rights violation stations contributing to the cycle of violence. Like many countries.

To be Human is to error.
Let's not forget the leader of mass incarceration (United states of America) and its success report. Where being an inmate has become a commodity for those profiteers. And a revolving door for most.
