El Duke: ex police command that would have opened the doors of the CDMX (Mexico City) to El Mencho

Sol Prendido Borderland Beat lanetanoticias

On April 11 different media reported that an ex command of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) of the capital, known as El Duke, is designated as the intellectual responsible for the arrival of the Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) to Mexico City.

The history of the CJNG in the city began in 2016, when José Pineada Arzate, alias El Avispón (The Hornet), was captured and sent to the Reclusorio Oriente.

The man was not only wanted by the Mexican authorities, but by the US justice system for crimes such as drug trafficking, criminal association and money laundering, but his main crime was to be the accountant of the most powerful criminal organizations in the continent.

The prison where he was held was controlled at that time by Eusebio Duque Reyes, aka El Duke who, before being in prison, was the head of a powerful group of police officers trained in anti-guerrilla tactics, hand-to-hand combat, bomb disposal and high powered weaponry.

It was a matter of time before the CJNG accountant and El Duke would end up associated. The Hornet got protection in exchange for a connect with his superiors; it was 2016 and the CJNG had already found the nexus it needed to enter Mexico City.

In 2017, a wave of murders began that were attributed to this union, year in which, for reasons that are difficult to explain, the authorities decided to release El Duke.

Once out, the plan was already drawn: the Cartel Jalisco New Generation was aimed at wresting the narcomenudo plaza from all the gangs that operate in the city, so they began to assassinate all those who did not join El Mencho.

Currently, the most important dispute is against The Tepito Union, which is confronted by the Anti-Union Force led by Sergio Flores Concha, aka El Tortas, a group that is sponsored by the CJNG.

  3. A narco state which no end or resolution is in sight.
Such a pity that Mexico's government allowed this to transpire. Then again it's all due to American consumption of drugs.
If not for drug consumption of Americans maybe Mexico would be in a better place.
Note: can't speak for the rest of the world's consumption problem. But logistics speaking, Mexico is ideal for Americans habit.

    1. The cartels also smuggle to other countries, they also have consumption, which without US, the problem will continue to exist.
