Mexican Navy scores another hit in Sinaloa, 10 tons of synthetic drug

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Reforma

Navy elements in Culiacán, Sinaloa, seized approximately 10 tons of synthetic drugs stored in sacks and 1,200 liters in drums with solid and liquid “crystal”, with a high degree of purity.

The Navy said that this confiscation weakens the financial structure of the criminal groups of that region, where the Sinaloa Cartel operates.

"The location of the drug was derived from technical intelligence work, where it was learned that in the town of Los Cedros, Culiacán, there was an area where the loading and transportation of tons of synthetic drug was being conducted,” he explained in a statement release.

"During the operation, land units were used, with the purpose of having Marine Infantry personnel enter the area located in the Sierra de Sinaloa, where it was possible to secure the processed solid and liquid drug."

On August 17, the Navy detected and dismantled a narcolaboratory, also in the Sierra de Sinaloa, where there were at least 50 tons of drug, solid and liquid crystal type.

    1. It's better to intercept the load than to arrest someone.

    2. Why arrest people???
Just keep busting stash to keep milking the cartel of it's money. Either the cartel pays or more hits like this will happen.

    3. You dont know how it works. In Sinaloa they have lookouts everywhere. This could have been ocupied. But by the time the authorities got there those guys were a mile away or hiding nearby. They know the sierra.

    4. PEOPLE! That is not unusual in fact it is USUAL.

listen to 8:11, rarely if ever is their human life around these clandestine sierra labs and drug staging areas when marina or police arrive.

The halcones and other guards are posted beginning half way up. The word is transmitted well before the arrival of of anyone. and air traffic is obviously evident.

  16. How easy it was to find it, but no suspects caught, not even one? Could have rounded up some borachos, let them sleep it off, in the truck bed, put some guns as a photo op.Common if you don't kill suspects, then your not effective.

  17. Mayos or Rafas tribute for the gov to keep going after cjng. Its no coincidence how CDS has gone black and out of the violence headlines. Mencho financial networks have taken a bigger hit than believed. Hes on the run constantly ala Chapo in 2014. Cholo and Nueva Plaza have taken Guadalajara from Nueva generacion. The chicago conference was going directly after mencho even though Mayo and RCQ have way bigger bounties on them. Like 5:34 said this just another dog and pony show.

    1. Mayo and Rafa probably having trouble providing the new government with their cut of the profits from the drugs hence these recent captures of percursor chemicals for synthetic drugs.
Either pay up or captures like these keep happening. Or allows us to capture two big stashes of drugs and we will not capture you.

On a more serious note did EPN accomplish anything at all in his 6 years in office? It was all such a blur I can't remember if he did anything noteworthy.

  22. Could this be the after effects of the recent California bust/round up? Captives dropping dimes on the calves? How much money was spent on chemicals to produce this is key not street value, that would represent the real loss here since the cooks are fairly cheap and no cash was taken, does seem like a token to the governor/DEA henchmen......just sayin

  26. And not a single suspect got arrested, nor was there any fire fight. I only senerio I can surmiss, is that they tipped off, everyone to leave..some something does not add up.

  27. If this was a legitimate bust, even if no arrests, its good! Kind of like government sanctions. If you can't get to the people, hit them financially! Two wins. Dwindling their reserves (I'm sure it's just a fraction, but still) and reducing the amount of poison being smuggled across the border. Thank you to all at bb for translating all these stories and keeping us English speakers informed of the perils of the average Mexican citizen has to endure living amongst these cartels that will stop at nothing to push their drugs northward. So sad.

  29. So the logistics guy from cjng got busted last month or so but they keep finding meth In Sinaloa? Wouldn't be surprised if all that was from mencho. Cjng controls the ports and got more access to those chemicals to make those drugs

    ReplyDelete
  30. They lose a couple of labs. Maybe 2million USD and 500million meth sales. They will rebuild them by the years end, bigger and better, with a higher output of drugs. Sad but true. The labs make a Fortune.
