Los Rojos leader arrested after being recognized in elevator by PGR prosecutor

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat translated and republished from Reforma

Los Rojos second in command in Guerrero

Jorge Higashi Chávez, "El Higashi", alleged leader of the criminal group Los Rojos, was casually recognized by a prosecutor of  SEIDO while the two were in an elevator of the luxurious CDMX Reforma complex. [Mexico City formally changed its name from 'Distrito Federal' or 'DF' for short, to 'Ciudad de Mexico', abbreviated as 'CDMX]

"El Higashi", who according to the PGR led a band of kidnappers who operated in Guerrero, Puebla and the CDMX, lived in apartment 222 of the complex,  just in front of the PGR headquarters.

Sources close to the case reported that, after the narco was recognized; "immediate orders" were issued for the search of his apartment, resulting in the seizure of weapons and 3 vehicles,  and his arrest.

On January 5, SEIDO Prosecutor Abraham Huertas, was in the complex to render reports as to the owner of the 1001 parking space.
In 1001 was  a BMW i8 with Morelos plates, whose 2017 model is worth 2.7 million pesos. There were also two Suburban suv’s.

The capo, accused of organized crime and kidnapping, was arrested in possession of a briefcase with cash, false documents and bank cards in the name of Jorge Alejandro Díaz.

The Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the PGR detained Jorge Higashi Chávez, "El Higashi",  former member of the Beltrán Leyva Organization in Mexico City, who was in charge of trafficking heroin from Guerrero to the United States.

According to the federal agency, "El Higashi" led a gang of kidnappers who operated in Guerrero, Puebla and Mexico City, whose main victims were businessmen and merchants for whom he demanded ransoms for large amounts of money, murdering them if the economic demands were not made.

At the time of his capture, they also secured cash, false documents, as well as radio communication equipment.

According to the authorities, after the death of Arturo Beltrán Leyva, "El Barbas", in 2009, "El Higashi" joined Los Rojos, a splinter group that broke away from the Beltrán organization.

With Los Rojos, in 2012, he became the second in command in Guerrero, just below Leonor Nava Romero, "El Tigre", who was arrested in May 2014.

"Derived from investigations, it is known that this person is responsible for ordering the killing of two federal policemen in the town of El Ocotito, in Chilpancingo, in August 2013, "the Attorney General added.

    1. Dude, the bad hombre was living just accross the street from the PGR office, meaning he must have felt VERY protected by them ... until suddenly we-dont-know-why he was no more.

Maybe he simply failed in making the latest payment to the relevant PGR officials. But no worries: if he manages to come up with the cash he will be out in two weeks.

    3. The flashy car BMW attracted the investigation, and the identifying agent did not make the arrest, he called for it.

  3. Nice apprehension!
Definitely a bad individual from having read his portfolio. Kidnappings of business men and murder.
A small fortune was acquired from the confiscation of items. Plus a residential property that was not cheap.
Hopefully, an end to his reign of terror. And with proper investigative work all bank transparencies will subjected to future federal prosecutors.

Makes a clint east wood movie look like barbie playhouse.

    4. Guano is the Fredo caracter from the Godfather movie within CDS. He probably thinks he deserves respect and or a larger leadership role in CDS but nepotism prevails. Entire wars have been fought in the past and entire Kingdoms have fallen for the same reason/s. Cartels are not inmune to this. History can repeat itself.

  6. We have lots of news in Chihuahua. Law enforcements and Armed Forces been detaining or killing Sinaloa cartel and La Linea Southside of the state. How rude the armed forces interrupted a Sinaloa Cartel party full of hookers. Then again some of those hookers were minors and those scums killed and buried innocent civilians.

    1. Chihuahua aint fuckin Sinaloa where those uneducated fucken politicians allow the cartels to operate with complete impunity. Linea has been dealing with this kind of treatment since at least ten years and don't say shit. Wait and see when they capture el Once from CDS who was alledgely at the party with the hookers and fuckin mantas from CDS will start appearing showing them crying about where is the capture of La Linea boss el 80 who appears to be the overall leader of La Linea like Mayo is with CDS. CDS punks get a capo captured and cry about wanting cops to capture their enemies main boss because they can't handle him themselves!

    2. The big fight in Chiguauguau is Governor Javier Corral has indicted PRI boss man Manlio Fabio Beltrones, "La Fabis" for robbing state money in cahoots with EPN and former governor Cesarean El Capulina Duarte Jaques who now lives in El Pasojo " protected under house arrest" until there is an opening for El Capulina as a professor with the University of El Paso.
--EPN is holding on to Chiguauguau's federal money in revenge, --La Fabis got herself some mew bar of soap and an amparo, just in case, while the Law Enforcement forces on the state torture the citizens with their corruption and their putas chingaderas, surely expecting a revolt against Corral...

    3. @1:43 hahaha. Calderon who backed Chapo was given a professor job at Harvard and you crying about Capulina who "might" teach at UTEP. You guys are funny. You make baseless accusations like EPN witholding Chihuahua money because he so called favors a cartel and what not as if the world revolves around Chihuahua and or the entire Mexican nation is focused as to which cartel stays in charge.
Grow up dude. EPN has more important things to worry about than Capulina and UTEP although no Harvard could care less what that fucker has to offer.

    4. Put the pipe down buddy. calderon was an angel compared to epn. human rights, homicides, education violent crimes, lack of security yes your boy has done a marvelous yob.

    5. The only difference between Calderon and EPN is thar Calderon focused his so called war on cartels along the border where as with EPN does this across the entire nation. This means that while all of Mexico knows and because of cares about all the abuses happening in Mexico such as those you mention while EPN is in charge nobody but the people living in places along the border witness the same abuses commited under Calderon. Through out Calderon's whole 6 year tenure nobody cared about Juarez and Tamps and or Coahuila. Now that shit (abuses), are ocurring in Guerrero and Veracruz and even Mexico state among others Mexican people finally voice out because they witness the shit. Learn the history of Calderon along th3le border before you call him a Saint-kid.
