Former Allende Mayor Arrested, agreement with Zetas not to Intervene in Massacre

Javier G. for Borderland Beat

A criminal judge of Piedras Negras issued formal arrest of the former mayor of Allende, Sergio Alonso Rodriguez Lozano, for crimes committed in the Los Zetas slaughter that occurred in that municipality, in March 2011.

The former mayor of Allende,  Coahuila, is charged with aggravated kidnapping and complicity in the massive disappearance of inhabitants of the municipality.

He is also charged with having knowledge of the crimes that "Los Zetas" were going to commit in later days, as he and another official attended  a meeting with the group and agreed not to intervene to facilitate their actions.

He was arrested last Thursday November 17, in Piedras Negras.

According to the Attorney General were 28 people killed during the slaughter, although eyewitnesses who have filed lawsuits in the United States, claim they were about 300 people from different families, men, women and children, who were kidnapped and killed.

To date 15 people have been detained for these crimes resulting in nine arrest warrants and two convictions with sentences of 75 and 80 years.

  1. Whether followed or not by Mexico's inhabitants, what are the statue of limitations for like kidnapping and murder? 2-3 years for kidnapping? Also, lawsuit for a crime committed in Mexico in the United States? Illegally nuts even if attempting to charge conspiracy and racketing temporarily at bay

  3. BB, any news on the murder of Renato Lopez? Why he was killed? Twitter users saying Zetas did it because he was involved with certain women?

  5. 2 convictions?
    28 killed?
The attorney general should be hanged from his wuebboss blasted on the ass with a shotgun and left on the cerro for the coyotes, there can't be a conviction when they don't even know who got murdered and who did it, unless they are trying to feed some escapegoats to the rabble, nomás...

  6. This why America needs the 2nd Amendment!
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
    Fact!

  9. This is Mexico, not USA. In Mexico how do you know that the militia in XY town is the real militia, and not one formed by a cartel ? Who decide that this militia is OK and the other militia is not OK ? Politicians ? They are corrupted. Local authorities ? They are also corrupted. Police chief in that town ? He is also corrupted.

  13. When there's a settling of account's and the act of betrayal has been committed on a large scale, there is NO ONE WHO CAN INTERVENE ON THEIR BEHALF - You pay with your life and that of your loved ones. A blackout was ordered > That means "Everyone " including employees.Mr.Lozano could do nothing other than not dare get in the way. There are plenty of dead mayor's, chief of police /security, prison wardens, politicians etc...because they wanted no part of these crimes > Pablo Escobar made this saying famous " Plata -o-Plomo.Shame on the government officials who absolutely know the truth.
