Special Forces Who Captured ''El Chapo" Will Search for Those Responsible for Military Ambush

Translated by Yaqui for Borderland Beat

The group of Special Forces of the Navy and Federal Police who arrested Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman in Los Mochis , will be responsible for seeking the criminals who ambushed and killed five soldiers in Culiacan, Sinaloa on Sept 30.

According to El Universal, officials said they were informed that the intelligence team of the Federal Police is leading the search and will collect all information in order to identify and locate the criminals involved in the ambush, while elite personnel of the Secretary of the Mexican Navy (SEMAR) will also contribute to the apprehension of the attackers, whom rescued Julio Oscar Vega Ortiz, "El Kevin", who was wounded and being transported via ambulance along with the Military Convoy to Culiacan from Badiriguato.

"Both institutions will use every means available including human resources in collaboration with the
Attorney General of the Republic to end impunity for crimes committed on Friday, Sept 30 where five soldiers were killed and ten others wounded.

The publication adds that the team of Marines who pursued "El Chapo" Guzman, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, for six months after escaping a second time from a maximum security prison, are tracking the killers in urban areas as well as the Sierra Madre Occidental, covering the states of Sinaloa, Durango and Chihuahua.

The Federal police are also conducting field research.

On Sept 30 a convoy of at least 10 vehicles and 40 armed men , presumably drug traffickers, attacked near dawn the Red Cross ambulance and two Army trucks carrying 17 soldiers. The paramedic attending ''El Kevin" was shot in the hip.

The aggression against the Military convoy was apparently to rescue the wounded man "El Kevin", identified as Julio Oscar Vega Ortiz, who had participated hours earlier in a gun battle between a rival criminal group in Bacacoragua and then his group subsequently attacked the Military trucks on a road in Badiriguato where he was wounded.

It was learned that ''El Kevin" was wearing a fake military uniform along with a camouflaged bulletproof vest and begged the soldiers to help him so that he would not bleed to death.

    1. well its the US intelligence that tracks them down and then send in the mexican forces to hunt them down. Its no surprise that theyre sending the Marines rather than Army since the Marines are the ones that work with the US, their gear and weapons are american their special forces train in the US, its harder to bribe a Marine than a soldier, look at the chapo both times he was captured by Marines, most leader were captured or killed by Marines,

    1. well they got menchito who is acussed to be responsible. it seems as its easier to punish the leader rather than the one who pulled the trigger (well being the one who gives orders then hes responsible too)

    4. @9:37. Goes to show that CDS and in particular Ivan ordered the hit on the Army. You are correct though that he is likely to turn in everyone he knows so that the Marina won't touch him. Fuckin Marina is a punk though if they don't go after Ivan the guy who is in charge!

  6. This will be the end of El Chapo and his family .SEMAR Special Forces are trained by Navy Seals and CIA SAD units are embedded in with them while searching for high value targets.
The only people that could save them are el Teniente Fantasma y el Teniente Bravo but they were betryed by CDS

More than likely they'll capture half a dozen or so of the so called sicarios/killers involved in this ambush and yet leave the bosses that ordered the hit alone!
If this is the case then fuck them!

    1. thats what the Army does, Marines been going straight to the bosses

  9. This ambush was either a very impulsive decision by CDS or it was another group like CJNG/BLO since CDS does not ambush the military much, especially over an injured sicario.
Doing so would obviously bring major heat to Sinaloa, something CJNG seems not to worry about much.

I found somthing intresting in a video posted on el blog del narco posted not long ago where cjng caught on of ivans sicarios in jalisco and while questioning him he says he left culiacan because ivan el 20 and el kevin where killing lots of people could it be that the same sinaloa feds are helping cjng catch top ranking members of cds. It seems chapos empire is falling and braking little by little but you know what they say whatever goes up must go down.
