In Six Days 'El Mono' Sold 2,100 KG of Coke in Europe and Sent Zetas 75M USD

"Yaqui" for Borderland Beat

Juan Manuel Munoz Luevano, alias "El Mono", alleged European link of Los Zetas, kept documents at his home in Madrid, Spain that revealed he had transferred 2100 of kilos of cocaine and $75 million dollars, in an operation that lasted only six days between February 11 and 17, 2012.

The Spanish daily newspaper, El Pais, reported that on two computers which were seized at the home of "El Mono" contained several Excel folders detailing $59 million dollar cash deliveries packed in travel bags, suitcases, and even cardboard boxes, which were shipped to the heads of the cartel organization at various hotels in Mexico City.

According to the accounts, to which the Spanish newspaper had exclusive rights to, the time period referred to was between 2012 and 2013, detailing the entry of cocaine into Europe, the price paid per kilo, between 32,000 and 34,000 Euros, its conversion to US Dollars and the gradual delivery of money collected by Los Zetas in Mexico.

The majority of the money sent from Europe was delivered to Mexico City hotels including The Regent, the Marquis Reforma Camino Real Polanca, and establishments of the local Fiesta America chain. Additional deliveries were made in parking lots of Supermarket Soriana and auto dealerships near the central commercial district of Antara Fashion Hall in Polanco.

In many cases, the recipients of the deliveries were: "Bebe", "Pedro", "Rich", "Juan", "Rafa", and Tony". It is believed, according to El Pais, that "Bebe" is Cuitlahuac Juan Martinez Hernandez and "Tony" is Ricardo Fuyivara Romero, both arrested in July 2012 in Mexico.

There is an accounting of an "accidental loss" of  $900,000 as a result of the arrest of Fuyivara Romero.

That amount corresponds to the amount seized in a suitcase by Mexican Police during the arrest of the drug trafficker, says El Pais.

The Spanish Police say there was close relationship between "El Mono"and "Los Gallos": Jose Antonio Guzman Retas, alias "El Gallo" and his son Jose Antonio Guzman Inzunza, alias "El Gallito".

"Los Gallos" together with Said Rbib, alias "Hermano" are a fundamental piece in the organization of "El Mono" because they are responsible for providing cocaine to buyers and distributors in Europe, along with providing terminals and secure communication systems to its various members, says the newspaper quoting a police report.

They also noted that The Netherlands is a "key country" in the distribution of drugs for Los Zetas Cartel in Europe, as "El Mono" met with "El Gallo" at the Marriot Hotel in Amsterdam in July of 2012.

These dates coincide with the transfer of monies to Mexico from the sales of the 2100 kilos of cocaine.

    7. Nuevo Laredo still produces huge amounts of money for CDN, that's why all cartels wants it. It's said Nuevo Laredo produces 100 million dollars a week in drug smuggling across the bridge.

    8. 2:37 If that was the case why was the supposed head of the CDN caught like any other street drug dealer in TX?

    10. It seems like the real culprits are always good at making other dummys look as the big bad guys, if they are moving that amount of dope through there, there must be other org. crime group using the same place, with that amount of resources CdN could run the entire state of tamaulipas, 4.8 Bil a year more than guzman's organization???

  4. El chapo tried to take over plazas that weren't his; The result is Zetas and CDG moving to dvery state and small communities where gun men were never seen nefore. Drugs starting selling on places tvat were not sold before.

The afdiction and killings are all his fault. So he and his descendents need to be wiped from the earth as well as politicians that helped him every day til now.

    1. some truth to that violence was a result of Shorty reaching into anothers cookie jar, and he failed , so look this up if it interests anybody how the infamous last Letter moved in on Sinaloa plazas around 2006-2010 ish. Saltillo,Durango,Torreon,Zacatecas,Veracruz matazetas formed to get the Z out of Jalisco in those years.... hasta por hay dicen que Michoacan (la fam) had to get them out. ive read statements from "sicarios" that debrief/snitch/witness how they would take over a plaza with only 5 or so trained men and start buying grams and small shit ,gather intel then levantar a los grameros to torture and gather more intel on whos who . a few would be killed for propaganda pyscological warfare and within a month or so were installed and had municipales on lock. The current situation alot different now.

  5. How does that add up to 75mill? Even taking the higher price of 34 comes out to 71.4 mill for 2100 bricks and what about his commission/profit?

    1. Are you serious dude? If so you need some sleep...
commission/profit...my God BB why let these fools through?

    2. That's 34000 euros not u.s. dollars

      Delete
    3. Yes I'm serius "dude" lol..... it says 75 mill sent back yet 2100 times even 34 does not even equal 75 mill so how is that possible. So maybe you should have read the whole thing and put your thinking cap on to understand what I was saying. Wasn't actually asking how much his commission or profit was. Was saying that it dosent even add up to 75 mill so how could 75 mill go back. Dosent add up to 75 mill not even accounting for what he made.

    4. @5:16 the 34k they are talking about are Euros. Go ahead and turn 34k euros into dollars and you'll get more than the 75 million USD.

      Delete
    5. Euros are worth more the USD. 32-34k in euros x2100kilos=shitloads of usd :)

    6. @5:16 - re-read the third paragraph. At today's exchange rate it's over $77mil. Also that's their price, not the street value. That being said if I sell you $75mil of anything I will receive exactly that amount. My internal accounting isn't part of the equation. Street value and prices down the line a different issue. Just like purity etc.
