According to the arrest records, the arrest took place at 4:10 p.m. on 1278 Lago de Cuitzeo Street, in the Las Quintas neighborhood.

The Security Cabinet reported that Horacio “N” was his brother's financial operator and was in charge of paying payrolls in Culiacán and Sonora, as well as handling orders.

After the capture of Pelón or 8, identified as the leader of Los Pelones, on November 14, they carried out intelligence and investigation work and confirmed that Horacio “N” was using the same addresses as his brother for shelter, so they carried out prevention patrols and located five men, among them Horacio, apparently armed on José María Morelos street to the north, who fled and entered a hotel, where they were caught and arrested.

This Is How The Attack In Los Mochis Barbershop That Left One Dead And One Wounded Went Down | VIDEO. A Child Is Unharmed Despite Caught In Middle Of Attack

The video from the barbershop shows how a boy about 10 years old was having his hair cut by the victim and the father runs out and forgets about it.

 05/12/24

There were two subjects who perpetrated the attack on the barbershop yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, December 4, in the city of Los Mochis, where in just 12 seconds after arriving at the door they committed the aggression, leaving one man dead and another with injuries.

In a video circulating through different social networks and quickly viralized on different platforms, recorded from the security camera of the same barbershop, shows the moment in which the subjects arrived and shot at point blank range in a direct attack against the victim.

Moments of panic:
The video shows that at the time of the aggression there were two barbers working
At the entrance of the door was a young man cutting the hair of a boy of approximately 10 years old.
And at the next station towards the back of the barbershop was the other worker cutting the hair of the mortal victim.

Also next to them is a chair where there are two men sitting waiting, one of them apparently the customer next to the door and the second is a man who appears to be the father of the young customer.

A black sweatshirt with letters on the front, he arrives at the door and only takes four steps, then unloads the gun against one of the customers, practically a meter away. According to what can be seen in the video, he fired at least 14 bullets.

At that moment, the second man, dressed in black and wearing a motorcycle helmet, stands at the door and, from that distance, shoots the victim, who falls from the chair where he was having his hair cut with the first shots.

While the shooting was taking place, the first to run out of the shop was the barber who was cutting the boy's hair; then the boy's father came out and, finally, the other customer, who was wearing a green t-shirt.

The attack continues until the man who was cutting his hair is riddled with bullets.

Seconds later, the father returns and, realizing that the boy was inside the barbershop, sees that one of the hitmen was still inside finishing off the victim, so he leaves.

Four seconds later, the second barber comes out, tripping over the chair that had fallen with the victim and that had two bullet wounds.

Four seconds later, the boy's father came in and led him by the hand with the cape he was wearing while he cut his hair.

As was revealed yesterday after the murder, it was a direct attack against a man identified as Juan Omar B., 47 years old, domiciled in the Ampliación Miravalle neighborhood, in Cajeme (Sonora), although resident in Los Mochis.

Regarding what was revealed that it could be a man allegedly linked to a criminal organization with a presence in the state of Sonora, and who was arrested in 2015 in Mexico City, no one has yet confirmed it.

On Thursday, Army and National Guard forces captured Omar Felix Loaiza, alias “El Pelon” or “El 08”, who is accused of being the head of Los Chapitos in Sonora and of coordinating the criminal group's offensive against the Los Mayos faction since September 19.

He is also identified as a generator of violence in Baja California, according to the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Felix Loaiza coordinated in those states, “the cross-border trafficking of drugs, migrants and weapons, in addition to the production and marketing of fentanyl, bound for Arizona, United States, among other crimes such as kidnapping and extortion”.

The arrest was made after, “with the information gathered and evidence obtained, a control judge issued a search warrant to search a home located on Guadalajara Street in the Las Quintas neighborhood, where after corroborating his identity, an arrest warrant was served for organized crime with the purpose of committing crimes against health in the form of drug trafficking, firearms trafficking and human trafficking”.

According to the head of the SSPC, Omar García Harfuch, the arrest was made in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the National Guard (GN) and the Attorney General's Office (FGR).

Government information states that “between August 6 and September 19 he remained in Sonora until, after suffering a murder attempt in General Plutarco Elías Calles, he returned to Sinaloa, possibly due to the beginning of the conflict between Los Chapitos and Los Mayos”, due to the kidnapping and delivery to US authorities of Ismael el Mayo Zambada García.

Threatening Banners Signed By El Ruso And El P1 Hung On Walls In Mexicali And San Luis Rio Colorado

JUNE 16, 2024

A few days after an intense operation was launched with the presumed intention of capturing Ruso's hitman boss, known as P1 or "Ponchito de la Lima," alleged members of organized crime placed a "narco-banner" signed by the Revolutionary Forces of Ruso and P1.

The message placed on the fence of an elementary school in the Mexicali Valley is addressed to members of the Mexican Navy, who a few days ago carried out an operation in the area of kilometer 57, of which no further information was provided.

The poster was discovered around 7:20 a.m. by municipal police officers patrolling outside the Ruiz Cortinez Elementary School, located at Tercera and Venustiano Carranza streets, in Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria.

The white poster board with black letters reads as follows:

"MARINES Here don't look for trouble MEXICALI and its valley are calm if this is the way you want it to continue calm your shit down or we will burn down MEXICALI. Sincerely, Revolutionary Forces of Ruso And P1

The message comes two days after unofficial versions referred to the alleged arrest of Alfonso Peralta, alias P1 or "Ponchito de la Lima," during an operation carried out between Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Versions referred to his capture and even suggested an intense operation at kilometer 57, but no local authorities were aware of the results.

The incident was put on hold and the versions suggest a supposed release or escape of the presumed killer of the Ruso.

Jesus Sonqui, Narco Corrido Music Promoter Gunned Down in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora

By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat

Early this morning, music promotor Jesus Sonqui was killed by gunfire from several attackers while at a street food stand in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora. He was ambushed on Quintana Roo street, in the Chapultepec neighborhood around 2:00 a.m., according to local nota roja twitter Sonora Informativo.

News site En el Radar reported that after being surprised by his attackers, Sonqui exchanged gunfire, but was killed. Photos show his body lying on the street next to his car. A chromed 45 caliber pistol with pearl grips and a pouch with extra magazines were found at the crime scene. Some sources say he was accompanied by two men, one of them a high profile artist.

En el Radar said that Sonqui once managed the band Alta Consigna, a banda group that produced narco corridos. He was currently managing Panchito Arredondo, another artist who makes narco corridos.

It is so far unclear why he was killed, but narcocorrido related music promotors and artists often face fatal risks for playing music venerating rivals in the wrong territory, or even being involved in organized crime in a supporting role themselves.

Faced With Insecurity, More Autodefensas Begin Arising In Sonora & Morelos

Archive photo

Translated by Valor for Borderland Beat

With the increase of incidents of common crimes and the inaction from officials to fight against insecurity, citizens of Sonora and Morelos are beginning to organize themselves in order to confront criminals.

Morelos:

Members of 11 citizen groups, from eight municipalities of the eastern region, meeting in Yecapixtla, decided to give an ultimatum to the state government to restore security to their families, whose lives have been disrupted with the waves of executions, extortions, robberies, and kidnappings registered in the area.

Since the weekend, they gave the head of the state, Graco Ramírez, 30 days to put a stop to these crimes, which have become constant in the municipalities in the East, according to members of Grupo Relámpago, an organization that the residents of Tetela Del Volcán formed to defend themselves, officially recognized by the authorities.
