Videos reveal how public thank the leader of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation at an event organized by municipal authorities.

In the municipality of Coalcomán in the state of Michoacán, a public event generated controversy after, according to videos posted on social networks, the event organized by the municipality thanked Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”, leader of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG), for gifts to local children.

At the event, held in recent days, there was a sign that read:

“The children of Coalcomán thank Mr. Nemesio Oseguera and his sons 2 and 3, and Commander Delta 1 for their noble gesture! Thank you for your gifts!”.

On Nacho Lozano's Imagen Noticias newscast, headed last night by Crystal Mendivil, it was also reported that last December 10, during the anniversary of the founding of the municipality, a corrido in honor of “El Mencho” was included during a cockfight, in front of local authorities.

Government Reactions

The governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, strongly condemned the events through his social networks:

“In Michoacán we condemn the apology of those who promote violence. For this reason, we ask the @FGR to thoroughly investigate the municipal authorities of Coalcomán for their probable links to a criminal group”.

Likewise, the government of the entity requested the removal from office of the mayor of Coalcomán, Anabel Ávila, of the Movimiento Ciudadano party, to facilitate the investigation of her possible involvement in these acts.

The fact has caused indignation in social networks, where users demand strong legal actions against those who participate in these practices, which contribute to the normalization of violence and social control by organized crime.

Good evening to all the people of Buenavista and its surroundings. As you can see, we are inviting all the people to avoid going out after midnight. Don’t let your young men ride in cars after midnight. Because as you can see, we’re already here and we are against all the scumbags and anyone who is participating in and supporting the Tepeque (Tepalcatepec, Michoacán) mob.

Likewise to La Mancha, Perico, or Robatico. We’re especially coming after these three individuals. The heads of La Mancha or Perico is what we’re wanting. We also want to make this call to all the honest policemen. It’s in your best interest to get out of our way.

We’re planning on hitting every policeman from the town of Tepeque who are out here driving around in their cloned patrol vehicles. The truth is that these men aren’t even real policemen. They have within their ranks Colombian nationals and are unauthorized lawmen. Therefore, we’re coming after these individuals.

"Fuel Theft" Soars In Jalisco During Lopez Obrador's Six-Year Term Of Office

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

This article was translated and reposted from EL OCCIDENTAL

Investing in technology to combat this crime is a must

Román Ortega

Fuel theft in clandestine Pemex pipelines, also known as “huachicol”, shot up by up to 279 percent in Jalisco during the recently ended federal administration of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador compared to the six-year term of former President Enrique Peña Nieto, despite López Obrador's assurances that his administration would put an end to this illicit activity.

Data from Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) obtained through transparency indicate that during the six years of Enrique Peña Nieto's administration there were 173 fuel leaks in Pemex pipelines, while during López Obrador's term the figure was 656, which represents an increase of 279%.

In the case of leaks, Luis Campos warns that they represent a greater risk for the communities near the points where the fuel comes out of the pipelines due to its high level of flammability.

“The risk is that it is a highly flammable material and to the extent that a person is unaware that there was a fuel leak and there is an ignition point, which is what fire experts say, that is what will generate the contingency. I believe that the only issue is the information and to be aware of something in writing”.

Official figures provided to El OCCIDENTAL show that clandestine pipeline tapping detected in Jalisco increased 65%, that is, 5,293 illegal tappings were registered during the period of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, while during the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto there were 3,205.

Luis Campos, a public safety specialist at the Universidad Panamericana, points out that there are not enough personnel to monitor the pipelines, which is why monitoring systems must be implemented that are capable of detecting when there is low pressure, as a result of a fuel tap or leak, so that federal security forces can act quickly.

He stressed that for the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador it was not a priority to invest in technology that would allow detecting any “picket” in the pipelines.

“The investment to be able to monitor the length and breadth of the pipelines is an important investment. And here, the truth is that the money has been allocated to other issues and for prevention in the case of huachicol, it has apparently not been a priority, has it not? You have the figures and the figures, as in an operation, as in sales, are cold. The numbers are cold here, like for the suits.”

During this year 2024, several gasoline leaks were recorded that alarmed residents of small communities in the municipalities of Tonalá, Zapotlanejo and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga:

The first of these occurred on February 9, with the spill of 5 million liters of gasoline, in the town of Tololotlán in the municipality of Tonalá, which caused the eviction of more than 2,1000 people from Tonalá, El Salto, Zapotlanejo and Juanacatlán.

The jet of fuel raised a cloud of vapors that forced the Secretariat of the Environment to declare an Atmospheric Alert for three municipalities.

That day the residents began to leave to go to their families, starting at 5:30 a.m. after perceiving the strong odors of fuel and made the reports to 911.

“The firefighters arrived and told us to get out of the houses because there was a fuel leak. We didn't take the children to school, we left the house,” Consuelo Vargas, 34, said at the time.

“For me, my head, my eyes and even my stomach started to hurt a lot. I couldn't even eat breakfast because I started to vomit,” explained 60-year-old Alicia Márquez.

Last Friday, July 19, there was a fuel leak in a clandestine outlet of a Pemex pipeline, which forced the evacuation of the towns of La Laja, La Mora and La Mezquitera, in Zapotlanejo.  On that occasion, the hydrocarbon jet reached a height of about 10 meters, which generated a cloud of fuel vapor.  As a result, 207 people had to be evacuated.

On July 25, another fuel leak occurred in the town of El Capulín, in the municipality of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga.

On September 3, more than 100 elements of the State Civil Protection Unit of the State, Zapotlanejo and Pemex worked to suppress a diesel leak that occurred in a pipeline of the state-owned company in a plot of land near the community of La Mora, in the municipality of Zapotlanejo.

The then director of Civil Protection and Firefighters of Jalisco, Victor Hugo Roldan, said that there was no need to evacuate the inhabitants of the town, only 360 people from the Miguel Hidalgo elementary school evacuated as a preventive measure, on their own initiative.

Román Ortega / El Occidental

The municipal president of Tlaquepaque, Laura Imelda Perez Segura, informed that since the beginning of her administration on October 1st, 10 people who had been reported missing have been located at the New Bus Station, among them five underage girls.

He indicated that all of them were detected when they were boarding the bus or waiting for the person who had supposedly contacted them to take them to work in another city.

“Found in what sense? I mean they were about to board a truck with a report both. I am talking about people who were waiting for the supposed person who came from that attractive job that was presented to them and never arrived. That is to say, not only that... it does not mean that they were taken away as such, but that we intervened and prevented the consummation of this crime”.

The mayoress accompanied the governor, Pablo Lemus Navarro on a tour of the truck terminal, where a series of actions were announced to combat the disappearance of people at this point, such as coordinated operations between the authorities of the three levels of government.

On October 24, police from Tlaquepaque rescued a 20 year-old man named Oscar, who had been tricked into taking a truck at the New Bus Station on Periferico Sur to the State of Colima, where he was supposed to work as a security guard.

On Friday, August 30, Tlaquepaque police officers rescued five men, two women and an underage boy who were being held in a hotel near the Nueva Central Camionera.

What Is The New Cartel In Michoacán That Announced A Purge Of Its Rivals? Cartel Michoacan Nueva Generacion Or Michoacan Cartel New Generation

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

This article was translated INFORMADOR MX

Organized crime in Mexico has reconfigured itself and new criminal groups have emerged, changing the criminal map of the country.

By: SUNDAY

November 2, 2024 - 09:36 am

Organized crime in Mexico has reconfigured itself and new criminal groups have emerged, changing the criminal map of the country and demanding a security strategy from the authorities.

Among these new criminal organizations is the self-proclaimed Michoacan Cartel New Generation, which has a presence in the state of Michoacan, very close to Jalisco. But how was it formed and what is its impact?

The Michoacán New Generation Cartel

The union between the New Generation Cartel (CNG) and “Los Viagras” became what is now known as the New Generation Michoacan Cartel, made up solely of Michoacans to confront the strongholds of “Los Templarios” in Apatzingan and the so-called “El Abuelo” Cartel of Juan Jose Farias Alvarez, based in the municipality of Tepalcatepec, in the Tierra Caliente region bordering Jalisco.

Through various messages, the criminal group asked the population of Aguililla, the homeland of the leader of the New Generation Cartel, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho,” for a vote of confidence in the alliance between the CNG and “Los Viagras” and announced a cleansing of their rivals.

“We have a presence in 80% of the state of Michoacán. A strategy that lasted more than five years and in a short time we will all be the Michoacan New Generation Cartel,” the group warned in a message released in August.

Among the priority targets of the security cabinet of President Claudia Sheinbaum's government are the leaders of “Los Viagras”, Nicolas Sierra Santana, “El Gordo”; Cesar Sepulveda Arellano, “El Boto”; Heladio Cisneros, “La Sirena”; Jose Enereo Yanez Pacheco, “Mono Verde”, who allied themselves with the New Generation Cartel.

Federal authorities are also targeting the head of Los Templarios in Apatzingan, Jorge Luis Nolasco Guillen, “Cokis” or “Galleta”; Juan Jose Farias Alvarez, “El Abuelo”; and Miguel Angel Gallegos Godoy, “Migueladas,” who controls illicit activities in La Huacana and is a target of the New Generation Cartel.

Mexican Army Recaptures “Delta 1”, Head Of CJNG's Elite Group Of Assassins, In Zapopan, Jalisco

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

This article was translated and reposted from ZETA TIJUANA

WRITTEN BY: CARLOS ALVAREZ ACEVEDO

OCTOBER 29, 2024

Armando Gómez Núñez, alias “Delta 1” or 'Máximo', alleged leader of the Los Deltas group of assassins, whose direct boss was Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho”, leader of the so-called Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG), was arrested at around 5:03 p.m. on October 28, 2024, by members of the National Guard (GN), at the intersection of Patria Avenue and Lago Superior Street, in the Lagos del Country neighborhood, in the municipality of Zapopoba, municipality of Zapopan: 03 hours on October 28, 2024, by elements of the National Guard (GN), at the intersection of Patria Avenue and Lago Superior Street, in the Lagos del Country neighborhood, in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco.

According to the National Detention Registry (RND) of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Gómez Núñez - allegedly the CJNG's operational leader in Guadalajara - was arrested in the company of a woman, identified as his alleged romantic partner.

At the time of his capture, 'Delta 1′ was wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black short-sleeved shirt. After his arrest, he was handed over to the authorities of the Special Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) and the Special Prosecutor's Office for the Investigation of Crimes against Health (FEIDCS) of the Attorney General's Office.

Delta 1′ had already been arrested on June 21, 2020, one kilometer away, on Manuel de Mimbela Street, near Enrique Díaz de León Avenue, in the Jardines del Country neighborhood of the same municipality in Jalisco. On that occasion, it was secured after a search, in which elements of the Attorney General's Office, the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA), the National Guard and the National Intelligence Center (CNI) participated.

Two long rifle-type weapons, one short weapon, two magazines, 16 cartridges, seven cell phones and 519,000 rounds of ammunition were seized. Also seized were 519.9 grams of cocaine - distributed in 304 wrappers - as well as a plastic bag and a rectangular wrapper. In addition to two vehicles, various electronic items and cash, the amount of which was not disclosed.

Days later, the alleged head of Los Deltas' hitmen was presented before a control judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the state of Jalisco, who ordered him to stand trial for his alleged responsibility in crimes against health, for commercial purposes, possession of firearms and cartridges for weapons for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces.
In addition, the federal judge granted the Attorney General's Office a three-month term for the complementary investigation of the case and ordered “Delta 1” to be remanded in custody at the Preventive Prison Commissariat in Puente Grande, Jalisco.

However, the head of the hitmen - who is also allegedly led by Francisco Javier Gudiño Haro, alias “La Gallina” - was released from prison under unknown circumstances and on unknown dates. This despite the fact that he was pointed out as the author of attacks such as the one perpetrated on May 21, 2018, against Luis Carlos Nájera Gutiérrez de Velasco, then head of the state Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, as well as former head of the Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office.

Gómez Núñez was the successor of Martín Arzola Ortega, alias 'El 53' or 'El Negro', head of the group of hitmen called 'Los Deltas', killed on August 1, 2019, in a shooting that took place inside the Carl's Jr. restaurant, located inside Plaza Galerías, in the municipality of Zapopan.
