Exclusive video of the operation that led to the death of "La Perris" Or "27" By Journalist Luis Chaparro

A very interesting follow-up note.

Here at the Pie De Nota, we obtained an exclusive video showing the exact moment that the Mexican army's law enforcement forces, along with the Sinaloa state police, executed the operation intended to arrest La Perris, the former head of security for the Chapitos, who had allegedly switched sides to La Mayiza, although this has not been confirmed.

I'm talking about the operation against Jorge Humberto Figueroa Benítez, alias La Perris, head of security for the Chapitos, who, during the operation to capture him, decided to shoot at members of the armed forces and ended up dead.

As we reveal here in some exclusive photographs published on the Pie De Nota Instagram Page, I must warn you again: those photographs are very graphic.

In this space, we don't usually share such graphic images; however, those images were used. To, uh, let's say, uh, dispel the doubts of people who are learning that it was indeed Jorge Humberto Figueroa, alias La Perris. I want you to see the following video. It has no sound, uh. So, uh, I'm going to narrate to you.

Look, here are the law enforcement officers arriving in a Sinaloa State Police patrol car. Once again, these are exclusive images of the operation that ended La Perris's life. For people who are connected on TikTok, you can watch the video broadcast on YouTube. Army personnel arrive, and several prepare to form a security cordon. If you can see on the left side of the screen, there was a man with a gun.

Then other army personnel arrive with a ladder to enter the surrounding properties. When several of the personnel approach, they arrive with a shield and the tools to open the house, while the others enter from behind with the ladder, the following unfolds: Look, the shots begin from inside. The house through the window and hit the truck, smashing a glass. Look at the number of shots. Several law enforcement officers manage to take cover and throw themselves to the ground. While the truck you're seeing on screen, which has a .50 caliber mounted, begins to fire at the entire facade. Look at the bullet impacts from a .50 caliber, how powerful they can be, and the destruction they're causing to, uh, get the officer who was lying on the ground, who was going to break in, to escape. And with those shots, uh, being fired from the truck that's recording the images I'm showing you on screen, from that truck that again has a .50 caliber mounted, the shots are fired at the house, ending the life of Jorge Humberto Figueroa, alias La Perris.

Exclusive images that we bring you here
in the footnote from sources directly
from law enforcement. There, the truck is rearranged to fire more shots at the house where Perris was hiding with the truck. Rivan's entrance gate. And well, that's where the video we obtained exclusively ends. Again, for those who are not connected to the official broadcast on YouTube, you can go watch that video on our YouTube channel. It's exclusive information where you can see the armed forces members arriving at Perris's house or the house where Perris was hiding in Navolato, Sinaloa, to break into the home.

The operation's objective was, of course, to arrest and apprehend Perris after having intelligence information that said and confirmed that Perris was indeed there. It had even been shared with law enforcement.

Intelligence photographs of Jorge Humberto Figueroa himself inside that house. Almost in real time, when the officers arrived to carry out the arrest. They were met with gunfire, as you can even see. One of them hit the state police patrol car recording the video, and the Mexican government law enforcement officers responded. La Perris was wanted by the United States, who were offering a million dollars for information leading to his capture due to his high position within the Chapitos organization, in addition to being one of the last remaining members of this same criminal group. By combining this video with the images we shared on our social media of how this character was left after the operation, we can get a clearer picture of the timeline of how the authorities managed to take down this criminal, further weakening the Chapitos faction. And look, let's move on to another.

Sinaloa.- The head of the Federal Government's Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, acknowledged the heroic work of the Mexican Army in the operation that resulted in the death of Jorge Humberto "F," alias "El Perris" or "El 27," last Friday in Navolato, Sinaloa.

In a meeting at the Senate of the Republic, and when questioned by the media on this issue, the federal official indicated that the military was conducting an operation to arrest this individual, who was identified as one of the main perpetrators of violence in the region and who even had a wanted list from the United States.

He indicated that the soldiers were attacked, two of them were even injured, so they responded to the attack, and that the confrontation resulted in the death of "El Perris."

"I would like to mention that the Mexican Army performed a truly heroic task. Two military colleagues were wounded in this operation, which resulted in the death of this individual nicknamed 'El Perris.' This individual, known for his high level of violence, was linked to unlawful deprivation of liberty, kidnapping, and homicides, including his participation in what is known as the 'Culiacanazo,' in which he attacked authorities.

"This individual also had a bounty on him in the United States, and at the time of the operation leading to his arrest, military personnel were attacked, but bravely repelled the attack. They are wounded but out of danger, and we extend our full recognition to the Mexican Army," the head of Security stated.

Omar García Harfuch emphasized that President Claudia Sheinbaum's government continues with these strategies to combat insecurity, as evidenced by the fact that more than 21,000 people have been arrested so far during the current administration.

It is worth noting that on the afternoon of Friday, May 23, after a shootout between federal forces and armed civilians, Jorge Humberto "F," alias "El Perris" or "El 27," was killed in the town of Bariometo, in the municipality of Bachimeto, in the Sinaloa region.
During the same incident, it was confirmed that two soldiers were wounded by gunfire and were taken to a hospital in the city of Culiacán for medical attention.

US authorities were offering a reward of one million dollars to anyone who provides information leading to the capture of "El 27," equivalent to approximately 20 million pesos.

On September 21, 2024, Jorge Humberto "N," alias "El 27" or "La Perris," allegedly escaped during an operation carried out by the Mexican Army, which ended in a confrontation in some apartments in the Tres Ríos Urban Development sector. It was reported that he fled through the sewers of said building.

Federal authorities confirmed to Milenio that Humberto Figueroa, "El Perris" or "La Perris," a former leader of the Chapitos hitmen, was killed this afternoon in a confrontation with federal forces in Navolato. The shootout broke out after alleged criminals ambushed an army convoy in the community of Bariometo.

Who is or was this man who was killed this afternoon? Jorge Humberto Figueroa Benitez, "El Perris," or "La Perris," until September 2024, was considered the head of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán's security force.

"El Chapito," after the arrest of Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, alias "El Nini," with whom he led the Nini group. The United States State Department is offering or offering a million dollars for information that would lead to his capture.

The capture will no longer take place, as he was killed this afternoon, I insist, on the 21st. In September of last year, La Perris escaped from an apartment in the Tres Ríos neighborhood of Culiacán during an operation where his hitmen and bodyguards used grenades to evade the operation and for him to flee.

In March, federal government intelligence sources reported to this space that Perris operated in collaboration with the federal government and that his support had led to the arrest of several criminal leaders of the Chapitos. This means that he had betrayed the Chapitos to provide information. Today, in a confrontation, he was killed, according to what authorities confirmed to Milenio. Federal authorities have killed Perris, or La Perris, who was the leader of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán's hitmen, but later betrayed him and provided information relevant to the arrests and operations against that group. This is a division of the Sinaloa cartel known as the Chapitos, who are currently fighting with the Mayos. more than 9 months

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Although the rumor of the arrest of José Ángel Cannobio Inzunza, alias “El Güerito” has been circulating in the last few hours, the authorities have ruled out his capture.

The spokesperson for the Government of the State of Sinaloa, in matters of security, Verona Hernández, reported that neither the person arrested in the Zapotillo, Mocorito incident nor the one captured in the Limón de los Ramos incident were a priority target.

“It is not possible that this person who is indicated in some media as being arrested as part of these events is the person. From the Secretariat of Public Security we have no information so far of a priority target who has been arrested in this event,” she said.

For his part, the Secretary General of Government, Feliciano Castro Meléndrez, also ruled out the capture and asked for the publication of unverified information.

“There is no such arrest, this information is totally false. Let us promote the truth, there are many speculations, many inventions,” he said.

Who is José Ángel Canobbio Inzunza, alias ‘El Güerito’?

The United States Department of Justice points to ‘El Güerito’ as one of the operators in the criminal organization Los Chapitos, the faction of the Sinaloa Cartel led by the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

He is accused of coordinating logistical activities for drug trafficking and security as head of “Los Chimales,” an armed protection group for the organization of Guzmán Loera's sons.

'Piyi' Of The La Chapiza Cartel offered 500,000 pesos for his release: Press Edition By RIODOCE

The drug lord arrested on September 19 in Culiacan, threatened the military who arrested him that he would be held for ransom like Ovidio, but this did not happen.

El Piyi offered half a million pesos to the military who arrested him to let him go free and threatened that they would send the “plebada de los ranchos” to rescue him, but they never arrived.

Judicial documents detail the arrest of Fernando “P”, “Piyi”, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar's operator; and his collaborators Carlos Vladimir “N”, José Ismael “N”, Kevin Noé “N”, Cristian Giovanni “N”, Mario Alexander “N” and Cristian Rafael “N”.

The capture occurred on September 19 in a house located in the Santa Fe sector in Culiacán, when the fight between Chapos and Mayos began.

The detainees were sentenced to criminal proceedings for the crimes of carrying firearms, possession of cartridges in large quantities, possession of magazines, stockpiling weapons, bribery, operations with resources of illicit origin and against health.

The documents state that Piyi identified himself as “plaza chief” and after offering the soldiers 500,000 pesos that he was carrying in a backpack, he asked them to send him to the “plebada de los ranchos”.

According to the account given by the Public Prosecutor's Office before the judge, the capture was allegedly circumstantial by a convoy of 21 Army personnel on board three patrol cars.

According to the prosecutor, at around 10:05 a.m. the soldiers were driving along an unnamed street when they noticed that, at a distance of approximately 15 meters, there were two men carrying long weapons and wearing tactical ballistic vests.

The two men pointed their guns at the militants shouting “we don't want problems with the government, open up and fuck off”; and the soldiers told them to lower their weapons, but they replied “you're going to be worth it, you'd better go back where you came in”.

The soldiers got out of the vehicles and the two men ran into a building and were chased.

Upon entering the house, the soldiers observed a patio area of 20 by 25 meters where an SUV and a sedan were parked, and there were five other armed men.

The men pointed their long guns at the agents and Piyi told them “I am the plaza chief, let's get ready, I have half a million pesos in my backpack, take it and leave us the weapons because we are at war, they are going to send the ranchers, you better take the half a million I have”, and through the radio he said “send me to the ranchers, I got busted by the guachos”.

El Piyi, according to the military's version, asked his men to put down their weapons and opened a backpack and showed bundles of 500 peso bills, but the soldiers subdued the seven men and detained them.

In the backpack they found 553 thousand pesos in 500 peso bills; 7 thousand pesos in a yellow envelope marked “gastos trampas”; another envelope with 7 thousand pesos and the phrase “gastos piyi”; and another one with 6 thousand pesos marked “gastos patrulla”, for a total of 573 thousand pesos.

The detainees were found with 14 weapons, magazines, cartridges; and in the trunk of a GMC Canyon pickup a 50 caliber Barret rifle and 29 cartridges of the same caliber, an AK 47 rifle, a 9 millimeter pistol, a .45 caliber pistol and a suitcase with 2,17 cartridges.

In the place there was also a backpack with 2,496 doses of methamphetamine weighing 510 grams and 2,992 fentanyl tablets weighing 348 grams.

After being arrested in Culiacán, the seven were taken to the airport and transferred to the Federal Center for Social Readaptation number 1 “Altiplano”, in Almoloya de Juárez, in the State of Mexico.

The defense attorneys asserted that there were no armed men outside the house, so the military's entry into the house was unjustified, and therefore, the detention was illegal.

The defense attorneys presented a video of a nearby property to prove that the entry into the house was unjustified, but the judge determined that in front of the camera that recorded the video there was a lock that prevented the complete visualization of the house and it can only be observed that the soldiers arrive, get out of the vehicles, and approach the place, but it cannot be seen if they enter the house or if there is any detention.

“There is no material, there is no clear and objective information, what I expected to see was an image that was close or contiguous to this house and that would allow me to glimpse that the police did not find any person and that they just arrived and entered, but this is not so,” he indicated.

The judge determined that “the evidence of the prosecution, appreciated in a joint, integral and harmonic manner, valued in a free and logical way, is suitable and pertinent for the accreditation of the facts that the law indicates as crimes and the probability that the accused committed them”.

The Attorney General's Office (FGR) identified Piyi as a member of the cell led by Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, “El Nini,” who was arrested in 2023 and who operated for Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán's sons.

The seven detainees were remanded in custody at the Altiplano.
