Hitmen Attack Two Men On A Public Street

Violence continues to escalate in Nuevo León. On the night of Wednesday, December 10, 2025, officers from various branches of the State Government, as well as personnel from the National Guard, deployed an impressive operation in the Avance Popular neighborhood of García municipality, after an armed attack was reported. This violent incident left two people injured, one of whom died.

According to initial reports from local authorities, the events occurred yesterday, Wednesday, December 10, at approximately 10:00 p.m. local time, on Carmen Serdán Street. Residents in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots before authorities arrived. Witnesses said that several individuals arrived at the scene in a vehicle and, without a word, opened fire directly on two men who were standing outside a house.

After the attack, the gunmen fled in an unknown direction; one of the victims was left lying on the ground, while the second man, who was seriously injured, sought help from neighbors. A Code Red alert was immediately activated in that sector of García.

Municipal Police and State Guard officers arrived at the scene and secured the perimeter to preserve evidence and prevent onlookers from approaching. Minutes later, agents from the State Investigation Agency and personnel from Forensic Services arrived and began collecting ballistic evidence and witness testimonies to determine the motive for the attack and locate those responsible.

Paramedics from the Red Cross confirmed that one of the men died at the scene of the attack, while the second victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains under medical observation. As of the publication of this report, his condition is unknown.

Authorities haven’t revealed the identities of the victims nor have they confirmed whether the incident may be related to criminal activity in the area. However, they reported that the investigation will continue by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León (FGJ-NL) until the exact circumstances of the crime are determined and progress is made in locating the attackers.
