According to reports, the gunfire began around 1:00 a.m. and continued until nearly 5:00 a.m.

An intense gun battle in the early hours of Tuesday morning kept several areas of the municipality of Guachochi on high alert. According to initial reports, the gunfire began around 1:00 a.m. and lasted for approximately four hours, causing concern among residents.

Despite the duration of the confrontation, authorities haven’t yet confirmed any injuries or deaths, although they indicated that they are continuing to gather information to clarify what happened and determine if there is any additional damage in the area.

Residents of several neighborhoods reported hearing intermittent bursts of gunfire throughout the early morning, which forced them to take shelter in their homes due to the uncertainty caused by the lack of immediate information about the situation.

Elements of various security agencies were mobilized from the early hours of the morning to verify the area where the detonations were heard and to conduct preventative patrols. These operations aim to rule out additional risks and document any evidence related to the events.

Although details about the origin of the confrontation haven’t yet been released, municipal and state authorities confirmed that they are already working on gathering information to provide a more comprehensive report later today.

This incident adds to a series of violent events that have occurred in recent weeks in Guachochi, where the presence of criminal groups has created an atmosphere of tension and has forced the reinforcement of security operations.

The constant criminal activity in the region has led to greater coordination among different police agencies, which have sought to expand patrols and operational presence to contain the recent incidents.

The security agencies reiterated that they will continue monitoring the area and that a more complete report on the investigations related to the shootout that occurred in the early morning will be provided in the coming hours.

  1. El 04 or Palapas from los Cabrera was said to have been killed although I don't know if it was in this conflict or elsewhere.
This guy was said to be former Linea and turned on these acting like Loki from Marvel comics saying he deserved to have been given control of Ojinaga after his Linea boss deflected to the US and turned himself in.
In return however Los Cabrera or so they said left three tweakers dead in the entrance of Juarez close to the 48 kilometer checkpoint on the road to Juarez.
They claimed these guys were somebody but in reality they were simply cannon fodder hahaha!

  2. Can you imagine that your asleep at 1am in the morning next to your fat wife after a night out drinking cheap tequila tonayan and all of a sudden cartels start blasting high caliber shots all around your little town. You probably drop to the floor hopping your wife doesn't do the same and falls on top of you. To top it all off the cops don't show up to stop this craziness. Only in Mexico my friends. You gotta love this country. Nuff Said!!!
