Guasave Cartel Droneros Bomb "El Chapo's" Mother's House in La Tuna, Badiraguato, Sinaloa

"Socalj" for Borderland Beat

Governor Rubén Rocha Moya confirmed that drone attacks have been reported in the highlands of the Badiraguato municipality. Specifically in the town of La Tuna, the hometown of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

The footage of the attack, recorded by the droneros themselves, was geolocated to confirm that the house being bombed was in fact the home of his late mother Maria Consuelo Loera Perez; Grandmother to Los Chapitos.

In an interview with the media, Governor Rocha Moya confirmed that there was a displacement of residents from that area and other mountainous areas of Culiacán because of the drone attacks.

“There is an operation going on there, and that's why we had a sudden phenomenon of displacement, and we have been addressing it from Badiraguato and from here. We have a record of those who are in Badiraguato as well as here, but that has already been taken care of. There is an operation going on there, many drones have been confiscated, and people were afraid of them,” he said.

According to the video, the dronero or drone operator is directing the attack on a home of Aureliano Guzmán Loera, "El Chapo's" brother who is known as "Guano" who controls the region.

  5. Mf-Chapo Isidro & allies are going to be and somewhat are the new Sinaloa cartel separate organizations but all rule Sinaloa together. Sadly chapos never stood a chance everyone they had switched or got arrested/killed. After this war is over the next 5-10 years will be interesting will they keep a peace between each other or go to war against one another to have full control of Sinaloa I think that’s the better question the government should be asking themselves

    1. @3.20. Even if MF was "winning" the war there will never be "full control" of Sinaloa, and this weird obsession with Chapo Isidro as kingmaker is a joke. Then you leap ahead to a future war between Chapo Isidro, who isn't even the second most powerful in his organisation, and Mayito Flaco? Back up and slow down brother.

    2. The current Mexican president is using MF to defeat the Chapitos. She will then turn on MF and Isidiro and wipe them out.

  9. It’s clear that they can operate in sinoloa together they’ve always all operated together just had bad history and when people kill your compadres I’m sure you not just gone forgive… when they finish this war I’m sure they’ll split the state Chapito Isidro already had most of northern sinoloa anyway but they’ll probably operate like the zetas and BLO did in Monterrey… split the plaza each having there own cells operate in certain areas… or split north and south… people think having Culiacan is important it’s not.. the north and coast is what’s important (Los Mochis, Guesave, Choix, Sinoloa De Leyva, Sinoloa (municipality) etc… it’s a port in Ahome municipality called TotoBompo or some that Isidro has total control… and the military says he controls 15% of of Durango state along the border with sinoloa mostly mountainous area by Guanos area… he’s always had a good portion of the golden triangle and in the mountains a good chance he won’t get caught… that’s what I think he’s after

    1. The port at Topolobampo is not really that much of a facility. There is container traffic but it is not a major port, it's very very far up the gulf. It's the ferry port to La Paz, there is a tremendous amount of labor migration to Los Cabos, a bunch of regular vehicle traffic. You wouldn't really call the people traveling out of Sinaloa to Los Cabos for resort work on the ferry and bus, any more narco influenced than in the airport full of tourists. Generally much less.
