"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Two dead and three wounded, in addition to a body wrapped in a blanket, was the result of two different violent incidents that took place this Saturday evening.

One body-wrapped man, in addition to an armed attack that left two men dead and three others wounded, was the result of violence this afternoon and evening in Ciudad Juarez.

The first of these events was reported near the Camino Real Periferico, in a creek that connects with Camino de la Plata street.

At this location, agents found the body of a dead man wrapped in blankets, with signs of torture.

The scene was secured by authorities, to allow the work of the District Attorney's Office Zona Norte, as well as the removal of the body.

Minutes later, armed men in two vehicles riddled five young men in the Granjas De Chapultepec neighborhood.

The armed attack occurred outside a house on Humberto Martinez Grulla and Coquena streets, in the city’s west side.

Two of those shot died at the scene and the other three were taken to various hospitals for medical attention.

According to neighbors, the young men were chatting and washing a black Jeep Cherokee vehicle when the attack against them took place.

Family members arrived at the scene and went into a severe nervous breakdown when they learned of what had happened.
