Forced Recruitments Reported. CJNG Kidnaps 20 Youths in Jalisco's Sierra Madre Occidental.

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Some time ago it became known that different criminal drug trafficking groups, including the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, used the Facebook platform to reach out to young people, offering promises of good salaries upon recruitment into the cartel. Nowadays, drug cartels are recruiting young people at any cost. They no longer promise them good salaries. They simply threaten them and recruit them by force. On March 17, it was reported that a group of 20 young people, all of them from Leon, Guanajuato, were recruited by the CJNG cartel while on a tour of the Sierra Madre Occidental in Jalisco.

According to the information, the youths were on a ride known as "Vallartazo." The information added that the armed group located the youths, intercepted them, and kidnapped them in a threatening manner. However, they reported that one of them opposed the kidnapping and was shot and later died in a hospital.

The young man from Leon, Guanajuato, was identified as Joaquin Miguel, who reported that his companions had been kidnapped by members of the CJNG. These types of events have been occurring more frequently in some areas of Jalisco. Young people are afraid that at any moment, they could be victims of forced recruitment by any of the drug cartels that operate with too much impunity in these areas.

  9. Can’t even enjoy a trail bike ride in Mexico without these goons interfering. I’m sick of it and I don’t even live there. I’m sick of cartels projecting images of kindness like handing out toys like they are good people and when that child age hits 18 they are strong armed into the same sick lifestyle. Cartels groom kids like pedophiles.

    1. @8:32 PM: Excellent post! If you are a Mexican parent, your cute child may be heading to an early social or actual death. All your love and investments in your children may only benefit some evil enitity 9cartel?) in their futures. Be afraid, very afraid. Is Mexico suiciding? Maybe.

    1. @923pm Esto es para abastecer el mercado con los órganos de los jóvenes. Comprado principalmente por personas ricas de Oriente Medio. Compran los órganos de los jóvenes para que puedan vivir. Igual que los 48 estudiantes que fueron secuestrados.

  12. Back in 2005 los zetas were kidnapping kids outside schools in Reynosa. Made them fight to death with a hammer. Never in large groups though. They targeted larger framed individuals.

    1. They probably did it because they were planning on splitting from CDG and wanted to eliminate any possible rival recruits… 🦉

    1. Ignorante. Who are you, fashion police? What are you expecting? For them to walk around shirtless? You think Razors and Can Ams can't be afforded by anyone outside of the U.S?

    1. 9:39 it's Mexico 3rd World Country, anything goes, it's the wild wild west.
You must be in the US, where the 911 system is good and Police respond fast. In Mexico if the Police has being curupted, bribed by the cartel, they won't respond to crimes fast.

    2. 10.43 If you believe Mexico is third world you need to get from behind your phone and go travel. From someone who has, Mexico is top 10 with technology, airports, highway infrastructure and wealth. I’ve seen 3rd world and Mexic isn’t one

    3. 3:38 that's why it is so crazy. Mexico isn't like Afghanistan or Syria or something it's a g20 country. Imagine that happening in any other G20 country it would be world wide news. It's barley news on this site. It's so depressing and sad.

  16. I believe this story is actually from July 2020, and a few people were kidnapped from a residential neighbourhood in PV, after finishing the motorcycle ride. https://themazatlanpost.com/2020/07/28/what-is-known-about-the-mass-tourist-kidnapping-that-occurred-in-puerto-vallarta/?amp

  17. So Sol is this old news from Vallarta in 2020 ?

    1. Yes. It's not unusual for the news to get regurgitated. Some news agencies don't want the public to ever forget about the heinous things these cartels do.
