Chihuahua, Chihuahua: Subjects Posing As Policemen Arrested; They Were Carrying Weapons And Bulletproof Vests

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Jorge C. and Kevin L. claimed to be part of the Municipal Police, but could not prove their position.

When they were stopped their vehicle had its lights off and the two subjects were wearing bulletproof vests, it was they themselves who declared that they belonged to the Municipal Police.

The subjects were unable to identify themselves or prove that they were part of the corporation. Therefore, the agents contacted the Chief of Service and confirmed that they were not part of the DSPM (Chihuahua Municipal Public Safety Directorate).

For this reason both subjects were arrested on the spot for the crime of impersonating policemen, as well as disobedience and resisting arrest.

A black handgun, a BlackHawk holster, a bulletproof vest with black ballistic plates, as well as a flag patch were seized.
