Six bodies were found in Southern Tlaxcala near the border with Puebla in the last two days. Authorities claim some may be members of Los Pelones, a local criminal group.
The bodies were left in two separate events.
The first event occurred yesterday on February 13, 2023, when five bodies, four men and one woman, were found tossed on the side of the Libres-Altzayanca highway in Southern Tlaxcala. They were discovered by motorists who notified authorities.
Radio Formula reported that two of the victims were members of Los Pelones, a criminal group that operates in the region, while Quadratin Tlaxcala reported that three; Miguel N., 38 years old, Joaquín N., 32 years old, and Félix N, were members. Another of the victims was reported missing on February 7, 2023.
Another body was found this morning around 8 a.m. along the side of the road between the municipalities of Teolocholco and Tepeyanco, two small towns in Southern Tlaxcala. According to news site El Cuarto de Guerra, the body was found with hands tied behind the back, tape over the face, and a bullet wound. A local called authorities about the body after encountering it while walking.
