Ovidio’s Mother Pays Funeral Expenses for Dead Sicarios

“Mica” for Borderlandbeat.com

Culiacán, Sinaloa, January 9, 2023.- The families of at least a dozen alleged hitmen who were killed by elements of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) during the operation to capture Ovidio Guzmán López, will receive support from the mother of "El Ratón".

At least 10 men, who wore military-style clothing and tactical equipment, were already identified by the authorities and in life responded to the names of Juan Alberto, Jesús N, José Antonio R, Eduardo B, Andry Roberto, Adrián Alonso, Raúl, Mauricio Jesús S, Rey Miguel L. and Jesús Antonio B.

The deceased presumably belonged to a criminal cell of the Sinaloa Cartel that went to try to prevent the capture of Joaquín's son "El Chapo" Guzmán.

It is worth mentioning that among the fallen hitmen was a 14-year-old teenager, identified as Juan Alberto, originally from the town of Paredones.

According to local reports, Griselda López Pérez, former partner of "El Chapo" and Ovid's mother, assumed most of the funeral expenses of the cell that faced the authorities and tried to prevent the arrest.

    4. Give her credit for doing that, but that is the least she can do .... If her son's weren't selling drugs and killing people then the police would of never raided em in the first place, so essentially it's ovidio his daddy fault that this happened cause they would of never pursued em if they werent .... That's crazy how these guys puts their lives in the line for these misfits ... I would of told ovidio and his dad don't be pus-ies fight for urself instead of having bodyguards fight for u guys like pus--es

  4. That’s so adorable coming from Griselda López Pérez, the mother of Ovidio. She is taking care of the adorable sicarios. I’m sure people in Culiacán will see that as an adorable act of kindness. But we have some news for the people of Culiacan. Mass automobile thefts are happening in Culiacan after the incidents. Apparently they criminals lost so many vehicles and they need to replace them at people’s expense. It can not happen to better people who complain to the military.

    5. @ff71, edgy take. But I don't pay my taxes. They just get taken from me so I don't contribute to anything other than a victim of taxation without representation.

      Delete
    6. The reason people won't like the observation is because it's meaningless in this context- making an analogy between the mother of a cartel leader spending blood money and the government taxing it's citizens is utterly spurious.

  7. Some life insurance. Too bad it's for criminals.
This is what narco mentality is like in those areas unfortunately.

  8. Or doing just the right thing….. when people working 4 u die protecting yours the very least you could do is pay for the funeral. Think about it!!!! It still has to be cheaper then paying for health ins!

    1. I live in Mexico and can tell you that most insurance policies do not cover "acts of terrorism" (actos de terrorismo). Car hijackings for a cartel gunfight fall under this category, same as most cartel acts. It may be different for businesses not sure, but for individuals with vehicles its not.

      Delete
    2. I have a Mexican car and the insurance doesn't cover car hijackings and other acts of terror. I know people who had their cars taken during shootouts and insurance refused to pay them back. Also, some insurance companies in Mexico have used the ridiculous explanation that drivers "give up" their vehicles to hijackers when at gunpoint, and that that is enough to excuse insurance companies of having to pay. No one in their right mind would put up resistance against a group of gunmen...

    6. You’re a fucking idiot who probably never even has had car insurance. One for those, huh? I don’t give a fuck why those pieces of shit are stealing cars. It’s not magic you fuck—car gets stolen-file claim(if they even cover it)-and poof new car or check. It takes TIME! What about the poor, the single mom, the average Mexican citizen? So they are fucked because some rapist killer drug dealing scum “need” more cars? Fuck that! You fucking glorifying cheerleaders of this shit need to go be cannon fodder for some fucking scumbag like rat boy. Who will give you a cheeseburger and a dollar a day. These fucking guys are cheap, they are evil, don’t care about anybody except themselves. His scum mom should be immediately arrested and put up for extradition as a message. All the murders, rapes, kidnappings, torturers, thefts, assaults, and over all evil behavior her ex and her son has ordered, been part of, etc… she obviously uses blood money for what SHE thinks is important. All the poor people living in shacks and dirt floors on that town he built that fucking mansion in, what rat boy couldn’t help them out? Fuck NO- typical elite behavior this fucking scum doesn’t do shit for anybody unless they get something more than what they are giving! Honestly, this isn’t a question of innocent or guilt! It’s not up for debate! Immediate execution in town square would be just, or rat not being tortured to death in whatever area he has done the most damage in Mexico. You anti death penalty fuckers, fuck you—this isn’t a question of guilt! He is responsible for heinous crimes. Just having a 14 year old would be enough to do away with rat boy. What a fucking scum bag

  11. 08:58 a lot of people do not have insurance that covers theft and destruction of said vehicles by cartel ambush and explosives.....

    Are you high?

Do you think car bombers who blow up cars do so with "highly insured" vehicles so it's okay to carjack someone and light their car on fire

  13. The families don't have money for funerals because their "man" is only making 1,000 pesos a week protecting the lives of these narcos. If their "man" had a real job there would be no need to pay for the funerals of 25 year olds or 14 year olds.

    1. With 1000 pesos a week you dont make anyone to move a finger, Detroit, not even the lowest pay jobs, probably 15 years ago or remote places like Oaxaca or Chiapas. Update it please.

    2. Damn how nad is it going for the supposedly most powerful cartel in mexico. Sicarios used to get paid 700 to 800 dollars a week in tamaulipas a few years back. How can you pay less for your guys when they supposed to give their lives for you. Its safe to say that mexican criminals bosses are cheap as fuck.
