Heraldo de Mexico reported that a group of gunmen fired on her as she was getting out of an official vehicle. Paramedics tried to save her life, but she died after. According to one crime news twitter page, she died in a hospital.

Indira Vizcaíno, Colima's governor announced Rodríguez Cerna's death in a Twitter post.

  1. The criminals wanted her to work in collusion with them, she said no, so they gave her Plata o Plumo.
Hopefully the unit, can find those responsible for her death killed, forget about letting the justice take of them, they will end up freeing them. Kill the murderers.

  2. She died a Heroine. So sad. The ones who fall for want of a better life for their people.

  3. Was this the cartel or a freelance kidnapping ring doing work for the cartels?

  4. Phony ass govt bans the death penalty but lets THIS killing go on perennially throughout its country w impunity.
