In a hearing held this Tuesday, the Public Prosecutor of the State Prosecutor's Office charged Moisés N, alias "El Moy" with the crimes of homicide against former governor Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz and attempted homicide against one of his bodyguards, before Judge Damián Campos García.

During the hearing, the Public Prosecutor's Office presented more than 20 pieces of evidence against "El Moy", who refused to speak.

The judge asked him if he would like his legal situation to be resolved, but the defense adhered to the constitutional term of 144 hours to gather more evidence against the accused, for which reason it will be next Monday 16 at 9:00 a.m. when the hearing will be resumed in which the judge will determine whether or not he will be sentenced to criminal proceedings for the crimes indicated.

The judge ordered him to be remanded in custody until the hearing resumes.

Moises N, alias "El Moy," a member of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation, was arrested on April 22, 2022, in Puerto Vallarta after a confrontation with federal forces in which his brother-in-law, Saul Alejandro N, alias "El Chopa," identified as the mastermind of the crime, was killed.

On the day of the confrontation, after several minutes of exchanging gunfire, "El Chopa" was wounded and was taken to a Social Security hospital for medical attention, but died minutes later.

His accomplice and brother-in-law, "El Moy" was arrested and taken in a UH-60 helicopter belonging to the Mexican Air Force to the Attorney General's Office in Guadalajara.

On April 30 last year, a federal judge sentenced Moises G, alias "El Moy", to trial for crimes against health, possession of weapons of exclusive use of the Army and operations with resources of illicit origin.

Federal and state investigations point to "El Chopa" as the mastermind of the crime.

There are still two outstanding warrants to be served, against a man and a woman, who are the material authors of the murder of the former governor of Jalisco from 2013-2018.

Who is Moisés N. (a) El Moy?

The name of Moisés G. nicknamed "Moy" appeared in the file of former governor Jorge Aristóteles Sandoval until the moment he participated in a confrontation where his brother-in-law Saúl Alejandro "El Chopa" died, indicated as the intellectual author of the crime and who served until that moment as head of Puerto Vallarta, on behalf of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG).

In the events that took place on April 22, 2022, he was slightly injured and was initially charged with federal crimes such as: against health, carrying a firearm for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and operations with resources of illicit origin.

At the time, both were carrying: five handguns, two rifles, 123 cartridges, eight magazines, as well as 3,40 thousand dollars and 6.2 kilograms of methamphetamine.

The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office charged him on May 11, 2022 for the crime of concealment and announced that he would be prosecuted for other crimes. He was released for this crime in less than a month.

Currently he is still being prosecuted for federal crimes and now he was charged for the crime of aggravated homicide punished by article 213 of the Penal Code of Jalisco, with a penalty ranging from 20 to 40 years in prison.
